the old pic of me as a nightelf. I like her expression of sorrow, and now she actually looks like me. about the shoulder: if someone crouches, their shoulder go up. if it still looks funny, I'll have to change that.
Oink, I just opened and resized it, u know? And It was all good what I saw - the line following the ears and beginning of the eyebrow acted as top, and the exact end of the right (on the drawing) outline of the neck, acts as bottom - and it was freaking beautifull
ofcourse, the forehead/hair orientation is screwed up, and she looks like she has been hit with a shovel at the top of her head, just one too many a time - but other than that - this is just plain beautifull! I especially loves those lips!
Danosix - i dont think anyone could have said it better . the only time i had something bad happen because i never give up is when my boyfriend dumped me because i wouldnt give up on stuff
I'm used to critic after three years of art school, and no, I have no talent in drawing at all, have bad grades in all my art-subjects. but it's fun to draw and it's my best selfportrait sofar, but not best drawing. thanks for all comments, I will think about them on my next drawing =)
Egnore wormskull just look at his avatar ffs and you will see he is someone who talks out of his ass. He is still blinded to think that he understands human anatomy...god help us all if we look the way he draws. HIs excuse would be, "this is my view of art" yet he thn goes off bitching someones art for having something alittle off. As I can see wormskull, you are someone who gives up alot and i have no time for it. I am sure you have said this is W.I.P yes? well LEARN WHAT IT F*****G MEANS!
Anyway it is looking good Tari the shading is really good. Bring the ear more towards the eyes and scale it down abit and it will look great.
Stormrage you are really wrong... talent isnt present in art, my teacher started drawing at 20, now hes like 38 years old and he is freaking godly, he was sucky at beggining like anyone, getting good come with time and patience not talent, pratice drawing a circle 100 time and your circle will be good, give a pen to anyone and ask them to draw a circle, they are all wrong unless they drawn a lot of circles, you really act like a little asshole, overestimating yourself and underestimating everyone else, a very bad attitude, you will be disliked, one day maybe YOU will learn the that talent have nothing to see with art, now get out of your house and go look at ppl, face proportion exist but this piece is far from being disproportionate, look at ppl face... you still have a lot to learn Stormrage
-ear too big -face not proportioned -bad nose, bad chin, bad eyes though, the mouth is well drawn. keep training, and maybe one day, u will learn... that drawing... is mostly based on talent. have u talent?
marvelous shading Tari, you improved again =_= i dont have anything to critic, eyes are fairly easy to do, to get them alive you just need to add a pupil, dont know what you planned to do with eyes however, they are good like that (personnal thinking)
I am currently working on another picture, but I seek perfection. instead of throwing old drawings away, I keep them and always do something new on them. that's the way I work, just like Da Vinci did. and with houses I say, I'd rather buy a old house and making something new to it =D
i have the feeling i already saw this.. id rather make a new drawing instead of doing your best to edit an almost finished drawing. it's like trying to fortify a house with a bad structure, you should buy a new house instead, it will be fruitful
I know her forehead is very flat and wide, but that's how I look. i'm still working with the eye, I will think of what you've said and continue with the pic. thanks =)
BAD:She looks blind with the black eyes, and her chin makes her masculin, the ears are 2 wide, and her forhead looks neanderthalish.
GOOD: It's very detailed, and shaded nicely, and her shapes is very naturalistic, good thing you made the neck with the bones there. And the hair in the bottom left is also, very naturalistic.
