i sugges that you remove the red background and preferably put a black one, otherwisely its obviously the face will seem to blend with the background even tho you did a glack glow around him.
make your objects definate; (red is this, this is another thing) not (red is this, this is also red)
the face needs help too, its mainly a problem of clarity, nothing seems definated, additionnal mini-details wont help if you cant recognize the whole

I just figured out that the reson why it's not that good when i send it in is becouse it's an .jpg picture that you can see. It looks better ingame, don't let the picture here fool you.

I don't know why but the icons always turns out much brighter when i send them in, the result is that it loses some details, i will fix it later, it's time to eat now.
