when i draw this icon i thought about a unit that can controll time or something... so it might be used for something like that. what do you think, would it be better if i would remove the tree, the cloud and the figure? then there would still be the sunrise...
anguish, there is too much things in the icon, this is the icon section, where each icons are meant to symbolize one clear thing, only 3% of the icons here acheive this goal. this isn't the art section, dont put the most things in your icon.
for a reference, take a look at blizz's icons, to see how much they're clear, straight to the point, without any useless extras.
It does look good, and the only thing that is at all unnessesary (not saying it's a bad thing) is the tree. The 10 things you speak of go with the idea of a "Sunrise".
herz, you dont get the point of skinning. its meant to show, beceause of its size, one thing. when you do your icon, make sure its simple, straight to the point and clear, dont put 10 things in it..
