Yes, your units do an insane amount of damage, but if you look at your opponents, they have an insane ammount of hit points. This map is playable on single player, it just transers all unit control to the one active player. (1 player gets control over 100% of the untis, two players each get 50%, 4 players get 25% and so on) You just have to be that much faster, but thus encouraging you to find additional players. I think the recourse system was pretty imaginative, with upgrades your your workers as well as towers.

actually I liked Azure Td more than this one.
The heroes are from the start pretty much insane (if you find a +100 damage ring early on even more), there are a couple of unnessesary things for a td.
For instance, you need an upgrade for your workers to float, and an other one for being able to pick up items for your hero, since he cant float (to 'make up' for it, heroes got 2k range).
The whole ressource part would be more comfortable if you just have a regular income all few seconds and upgrades for it.
And why doesnt the game scale to players?
While Azure was playable with any amount of players, you need full house for this one (or 4 players capable to play for two each).
And full house means, at least for me, pretty much lag when I play it online.
Towers show a bit few variety, except for the elemental towers they are all just different versions of a normal tower.
Items are very strong and give your hero, as mentioned, a huge boost early on, as you most likely will get a few. My archer had +200 damage, +50 agility and +25 to the other stats before the first bosses.
If he says so i guess its cool
I'm Awarding this the Director's Choice Award for being one of the best TD's out there. Blizzard-quality terraining and detailing, simple, user-friendly gameplay free from the complex clutter of useless/unused towers that usually accompanies large TD maps. Single-player compatability, clean and flaweless triggering, great theme, overall a nice example of what happens when everything is done right.

I'm not particularly a fan of Tower Defense, but this map's quality is hard to ignore. Good job!

This map is pretty highly-regarded at Warcraftiii.net. I'll be sure to try it out.
