You can unprotect maps using map optimizer, you wont be able to see the triggers though, just units. I have unprotected maps such as DotA Allstars and WoW Reborn.

Oh no, again one of that stupid boring overpowered boat maps made by kiddies who think protecting a map means to increase its quality... gahhh
