I checked everywhere on the internet I could think of and couldn't find this map anywhere. Despite supposedly being frequently called "the best map ever" it seems this dead-link is the last place on the whole internet to find it.
One of the things I like about this campaign is that it's challenging, I hate when I can finish every chapter on the first try, and I don't really understand how come so many people complain about the difficulty. Isn't it great when you win against impossible odds?
It is the MOST COOLEST MAP EVER!!!!!!! ITS SOOO COOL MAN.. it is the best mAp ever MADE....Bucs... i cant play return of the dragons ... so this is the best map EVER!!!!
CAMPAIGN ROCKS!!!! Where'd you get the cool models if you could tell me where I just need to get those models of the orc cheiftains mostly I wanna know where I could get Cho'gall,Killrog and Blackhand. Also if you could get me Dentarg and maybe make the Troll guy you gotta save in Warcraft 2. One last thing if anyone could make them for me I'd Be so Grateful .
Nice Campaign, I liked most of it, but hated afew things mentioned below:
Things I disliked about this campaign: 1- In Chapter 3(Conquest of Blackrock spire), the mission was nice, but the dragons where really over powered. Every few minutes a lvl 10 Dragon, immune to spells just attacks you, they do lot's of damage you know. After restarting more than 50 times, I got up to the nest, and there I found Three of these dragons guarding it which was impossible to win.
2- In Chapter 4 (Frostwolves' last howl), when you get a base, you have only little resources in the gold mine. I trained lot's of units and destroyed all the spirit lodges, when I had no enough gold to regroup and send it to the enemy base which is really tough.
3- In Chapter 5 (Choas at the gates), where you have to defend Stormwind, this was the most annoying map of all, first you start with gold enough to create only 3 or 4 footmen, you begin with lot's of footmen which all get killed by the catapults. Even if you try to destroy the catapults first, the road is narrow and the enemy blocks it. I had to put the unlimited resources cheat. Even, you have to defend it for 40 minutes!!!! It's REALLY TOO MUCH, this map needs only 20 or 25 minutes. Not 40 minutes and each time a massive wave of enemy forces keep attacking you.....This map really needs fixing.
4- In the final map (A blackhand rises), you have a small base at the start, and only after a few moment, you will be attacked by really powerfull forces, and I think the enemy is overpowered a bit.
That's all for the campaign, despite my comments but this campaign was really great.... Looking forward to the sequel to this campaign, really!
Really great campaign Decide, i love campaigns about the first wars between men and orcs, and it's nice to see really bloodthirsty orcs again. Can't wait til the sequals.
Very Cool Campaign.. just one Problem, Guldans Animate Dead Spell makes livng units (Including your own) into animated dead units and this also takes up more food.. you should fix it. Cool Campaign though *5/5*
umm.. i have another complaining... Chapter 12 :A Blackhand arises = The orc base sucks at start, but the human... you have something like 5 min time until two level 10 heros attack with good forces from the both sides... and also the both sides are controlled by 1 same computer,, makes 2 times harder!!! DAMN! i tried it 7 times and my records surviving time was 6 minutes 34 seconds!!! DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT PLEAZE!!!!!
Yep, this is cool, even better than the blizzards campaings. but i noticed a little thing about guldan that needs correcting, his rise dead skill, it turns the LIVING enemy and OWN units to animated units, i realized that when my whole army of orcs was turned into animated... thats the only bug i found now, ill tell if find more!
This is the BEST campaign I ever played (without blizzard's ) Every thing is good story models/skins the only bad thing is there are no voices when people are talking but it doesnt matter really it was COOL
Ich hab genug Doodads gesehen! Außerdem was hat überspringbare Cinematics damit zu tun obs sie gut oder schlecht ist? Mir is es egal ob ich sie überspringen kann oder nicht da es zur Story gehört!
The demons found another world, a Red, Dark World, populated by a green-skinned race of strong, proud and powerful people. The demons corrupted these beings, giving them unholy power and a great lust for blood and battle. Meanwhile, in the world of Azeroth, the last Guardian was visited by a dark figure in his dreams. A dark figured that opened his eyes and corrupted his heart.
5/5 after my opinion one of the best campaign generally! Change empires missions, suitable background music and super story! One must play simply this campaign !!!!! And here another older commentary of the Macher of this brilliant campaign!
I don't mind people using the models and skins, HOWEVER, you should really look for their real makers (look at the Credits), since they are not my work.
And about future episodes... When I planned SoA, I planned 7 Episodes, even knowing that there would be no way to do them all (this would span over 90 maps)... I am trying to finish Episode 2, but I don't think Episode 3 will come (but I'll try, anyway).
This is the list of events of each episode:
Episode 1: Coming of the Horde Horde comes to Azeroth, Blackhand becomes Warchief, First War begins.
Episode 2: Winds of the Storm 15 years after Episode 1 (I am using the old timeline, not the revised one that Blizzard is currently using). Aegwynn battles Medivh, Sir Lothar is rescued in the Dead Mines, Medivh's death, Doomhammer rises to the position of Warchief, Orcs win the war.
Episode 3: Alliances are Forged Happens in the 6 year period between the two great wars. Doomhammer destroys the Shadow Council, the ogres join the Horde and the Raiders are disbanded, the Horde invades Khaz Modan, Alextrasza's capture, Dwarves flee to the north, elves investigate the Horde threat, Horde allies with Forest Trolls, Elves are captured, the Alliance of Lordaeron is formed. The Death Knights are created.
Episode 4: Tides of Darkness An entirely Horde campaign. Horde advances to the north, invades Stromguarde, Quel'thalas is sacked, Dalaran is besieged, Gul'dan finds the Tomb of Sargeras, Doomhammer retreats in order to deal with Gul'dan. This episode would have a lot of twists, and the Legion would even try to use the Skull of Gul'dan to summon their forces into the world... =]
Episode 5: A Time for Heroes An exclusively Alliance campaign. Lord Lothar and General Turalyon gather forces to force the Horde retreat. Quel'thalas is liberated, the Horde is crushed in Khaz Modan. The Return to Azeroth. The taking of Blackrock Spire. Lothar's death. The destruction of the Dark Portal.
Episode 6: The Red World Another Horde campaign. Ner'zhul creates a new Dark Portal. Horde gather artifacts to create new Portals. Ends with their retreat, after gathering all Artifacts.
Episode 7: Beyond the Dark Portal Alliance campaign. The Alliance expedition invades Draenor and tries to stop Ner'zhul's. We all know how this ends.
Also, Episode 7 ending cinematic would show the birth of the Lich King, and then would go to the future, when an aged orc comes to Durotar and meets Warchief Thrall...
