Eeeh, this looks nice, just I dont have the patience to play it without cheating... yet. XD
2.5/5 points.

I don't think that WC3 was made for those kind of air combats, I couldn't just use shooting/clicking system and I didn't like the air combat at all.

I think there's a bug: When I rescued that commander girl carrying that big axe weapon and tried to explode the gate with her, the gate didn't explode. Only with Alisia.

The first chapter was way too long, I got so bored with all those villages and I didn't like much that boss system.

The dialogue speed was too fast and the cinematics could have been skippable.

I didn't understand why I had to shoot those guards outside the big castle and when that commander girl entered the castle there were too much enemies. It was too slow and I stopped playing that chapter, there should have been a fountain of health or something to get life points.

It felt a bit different when my heroes started almost everytime at experience level one.

Sometimes Alisia's flying friend disappeared suddenly and didn't come back.

The game had few interesting custom models and skins, but I didn't like the music so much.

This campaign felt too action oriented and I would have liked to see some side quests.
ok i give up to dl already!!!!
Well i got a new computer, actually its a laptop...anyways i been quite busy and i stoped playing games, the spare time i had was to beta test another camp....anyways i will download this again...well it downloaded while i was typing this. Anyways i will prolly type more feedback later.
Ah, quite understanable. I SHALL REMAIN DILIGANT!
Just try downloading it again. If there is any sort of errors during download, it will often say something like that when you try to open it. Being that the file size of this campaign is so large, chances of errors happening are unfotunatly fairly high :? .
-VGsatomi
*slaps his WinRAR*
Man, it says that the archive is unknown...
And I really wanted to play this.
I'm a big fan of campings, but this one is the BEST! I love it, I love it, I love it!!!!! Though, there are a few things that could be improved..... The first mission was kind'a hard to me. It took almost three hours to finish it! I especially liked the second one, but all that walking... Maybe you could add a portal or something. In those maps where you got to fly on a dragon it's very hard to aim at enemy. There were a few other bugs, but they weren't too big to spoil the game.
The models and skins were great! The story was awesome! Terain and musig were amazing! What could I say: 5/5. Great job:)
I dunno. It's downloading just fine for me. If you cant d/l from here AND filefront, then I think the problem is with your computer settings or connection. :?

If you are using winzip, try using Classic mode, not Wizard.
-VGsatomi
Hi VGsatomi i tried 10 times to dl this map... i tried in the optionals links but the maps just didn't dl... i would like some help... becouse this map seen SO GOOD and i want do dl it... plz help me to dl
I started DLing it and about 24% through, it went really fast and the files aren't in the ZIP...
Could you release a new link with the fixed version please? thanks

P.S-Played the first released version, very fun, but tough  !
dialog is too fast, how to make them slower?
Downloading now. Seeing how people are sooooo slow with my Vgame and Wc3 is boring me.
Hope you uploaded fixed campaign on Filefront, too. I am downloading it now...
Why did that take 4 months? To make maps accessible from the start u just go to loading screen in campaign editor and change 'visible => no' to 'visible => yes'

Yes, but the point is that people no longer have to do that themselves (which may be a problem for people who are not mappers and who have never used WE before)
There were other fixes, as well.
-VGsatomi
alright It Works now to play it i'll give you the rating after i beat it
Why did that take 4 months? To make maps accessible from the start u just go to loading screen in campaign editor and change 'visible => no' to 'visible => yes'
Finally after 4+months, the updated version is up. Now all the missions are accessable from the start.
-VGsatomi
:) Maybe its good!
seems like a interesting campaign to me...
I have some serious beef about the "companion creature" switching trigger. I use the arrow keys to move my screen around, and I find it rather uncomfortable to play without using them. I'd edit the trigger myself but I can't seem to find it...
2 more things I forgot:
1) that passive lightning ability attacks more then 5 targets
2) (not about the campaign, but u didnt answer my PM's :P ) I wanted to upload my map, but before I did that I changed some little bugs and stuff, but when I saved, really almost every trigger was suddenly a error or something. I had 5800 errors.... Do u know why that is?
(its only 1 trigger: game - set next lvl to ...)

No. Thats only for official blizz camp maps. Its actually "unlock campaign button" trigger that you use for unlocking maps in custom campaigns.

But it just stops working after a certain point for some inexplicable reason...I dont know why. That's why it annoys me so darn much...
-VGsatomi
Things u should add:

*quests
*set the next campaign lvls
(its only 1 trigger: game - set next lvl to ...)
*exp disable and slower exp rate
*and store heroes with game cache ofcourse

Good stuff:
the new features (like the 4 pets, flying on dragons and going over the river with a scorpion.
Terrain is very good
models and skins
story
and the rest I didn't mention.

Thanks for the critical feedback. I appreciate it.

speaking of tsu, what game does she comes from? i have played Alisia Dragoon and i dotn remember seeing her there

The original Alisia Dragoon wasnt exactly "rich" with characters. Alisia, Ornah and Baldour were the only named ones. Others, such as the bishop and Alisia's father were mentioned but no names or descriptions given of them, so I elaborated. Everyone else I created. The character in my Avatar is from Far East of Eden. Same character image, but no relation to the character in my campaign.

I added Tsu's chapter to the campaign as just sort of a "break from Alisia." After all, you are controlling Alisia every minute of gameplay across several chapters prior to that.

This campaign is a bit...technically demanding. So unless you have a really strong computer, some parts, especially the first dragon riding sequence, will probably lag a it. Sorry if it hindered gameplay for you.
-VGsatomi
Hmmm where to start, well i guess i will first report what i think is not good:

As some already told, the big doodads are "phrasable"...this doesnt alters the gameplay ( other when you kill monsters that drop items while the monster is in the doodad thus you wont be able to see the item much...) but it does not look good, but nothing really serius....

Chapter two: you have to walk way too much withou many forces to fight ( once you head back to the other base).

In general i think enemies have way too much hp, at first it takes long time to kill enemies...

The levels were you are airborn ( aerial pursuit and duel in the clouds ) althou they look pretty good and its a good idea its kinda anoying, you get lost very easly, at least in my computer the reaction time is slow ( i press move foward and the dragon moves foward 2 or 3 seconds later after i told it to move...)...i didnt like those maps, but at least they werent difficult so i managed to completed them.

Would be nice if you learned go to set up the next map things, its posible to do it i have seen it in other camps, same thing goes for the level and items transfer, althou you would also have to cap the level for each map since you can get to max level in the first map and next maps would lost some of the challenge...but the item and level stuff doenst really matter.

Chapter six, i managed to get throu the first door without having to destroy it, nothing serius again but its odd...i destroyed the door anyways, i love destroying them lol. In the fire room...i died a lot there mainly bcause long ranged units that forced my hero to cross the fire...this became anoying, instead of instantly beign killed you should take heavy damage and enemies should as well, not fair that they can step on it as if it were normal floor....

Chapter seven: no music during gameplay....thats not good....

Some dialogs show up too fast and one tends to lost fragments of information.

Ok i think thats all for the not good stuff ( i cant even call it bad cept some...) i meant this only to server as feedbad and not only to make negative commnets...

Now the good part!

I really enjoyed most part of the campaign, i loved it...to me storyline is very important and you manage to do a good one and mature like, even with some existencial problems...Terain was awesome, i speacially liked the first one, but all were awesome, really nice work there! skins and models are awesome as well, and to whoever did tsu model/skin did a marvelous job, i compared it to your avatar and they are the same! also i liked very much the dracolich...speaking of tsu, what game does she comes from? i have played Alisia Dragoon and i dotn remember seeing her there...Music was great, i love camps with diferent music, it gives a very special esence that not only makes gameplay more enjoyable but also gives each map a special something when you know how to pick the soundtracks...very good indeed...gameplay was good, not easy at all, very changable but not too hard, hard finding campaigns like that, most ones are either way too easy, or way too hard, me being an averange player of course....BTW i enjoyed the scorpion ride as well ^_^.....if you plan on reediting your camp to make it better i would suggest some stuff other than fixing the not good points:

-Make a level inside an airship, i remember Alisa Dragoon game that you actually get in one...this should be done after the aerial pursuit map, instead of destroying the airship you would have to clear your way to it, and next map you should be atacking the airship from inside! ^_^

-Your familiars, fairys, companions or whoever you call them should level up as well ( like the game).

In conclusion this campaign is ace, one of the best i have ever played but of course with some minor not good stuff...

As a personal comment to you VG...dont worry much about mistakes, just worry about not making them again ...mistakes plays a part in what we are...without mistakes life would be so boring. So im looking foward for your next campagin.
REMINDER TO ALL! YOU WILL NEED TO GO INTO THE CAMPAIGN EDITOR TO UNLOCK ALL THE MAPS PAST CHAPTER 5! (its unprotected)

Go to the campaign editor in the world editor, open the campaign, go to the "loading screen" tab (second tab). There will be a list of all the maps there. double click on each one and it will bring up a window with the name of the map and the name of the campaign button. Simply check the little box in the corner that says "Visible" and it will unlock the map. Do so with all the maps past chapter 5. Then save.

Thats how to fix that problem until I can get a fixed version up. As for the left clicking thing...not only did I mention it on the loading screen, but also in the quests.
-VGsatomi
Hope the map is good im just downloading it now ^^ :D
SWEETNESS!!! :D
Awesome map, sweet skins, Awesome storyline, 8) but the memory is alittle erritating...
And can you check all the maps past 7 for some sort of "virus" or something...
My comp doesnt seem to get past a number past 7  *forgot number...*
If you could fix that it would be appresiated, also u do know that the hotkeys are messed, right? :?:
totaly a 5/5, i could give a 10/5 if i could :D
Also, the dragon level *where u control the dragon* the lightning can target yourself... Very irritating... also make it more "clear" about the left clicking them...i got that my 18th try...
Javi :P

i will play this campaing expectin that will be as good as was " the spider queen "

i really like it.
Wy did u put that Ultra iritating Sound on that Dragon!!!!! I WANT TO KILL THE DRAGON!!!!!

What are you talking about?

Takes about 3 seconds to DL it then when i try unzip it i get a message **Ahem**

If its downloading in 3 seconds then its not downloading at all for you. Delete the incomplete files off your computer and try right clicking on the link and hit "open target in new window". If it still doesnt work. If it still doesnt work, try the alternate link I mentioned in an ealier comment.
-VGsatomi
Wont Dl Properly

Takes about 3 seconds to DL it then when i try unzip it i get a message **Ahem**

"End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not a Zip file, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part Zip file."

**Note**-- took 3 dl's bu i think it's downloading properly now.... dunno wtf was wrong..
Wy did u put that Ultra iritating Sound on that Dragon!!!!! I WANT TO KILL THE DRAGON!!!!!
very nice from what ive played! but im going to have to wait till i get on my other computer cuz this one lags it to heck and back :( good job from what ive played!
i'll try as u suggested at any rate still a great campaign.
Downloading it, think it'll be a coupla nice fights versus creep (hopefully  ).
Don't you save the heroes in Game Cache :?:
(No, I have no idea how to save them there :!: )
Probably my computer will lag so %$#@#ing insane  But it'll be bearable :P
Again very large filesize, it will take days for me to dl this, but yet again i will :D
Oops, sorry.

Then save.

Again, I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. I still have to wait for Darky to return to get the fixed version posted.
-VGsatomi
canu please give a bit of details how to do so.
i tried-without much success
Warnicro: Delete if off your computer and try again.

REMINDER TO ALL! YOU WILL NEED TO GO INTO THE CAMPAIGN EDITOR TO UNLOCK ALL THE MAPS PAST CHAPTER 5! (its unprotected)

...At least until I can get the fixed version posted...
-VGSatomi
I downloaded this....but the file was only 9Mb big, and I cannot unzip it in some way, options?
This is an amazing campaign! Well worth the download - Thanks VGsatomi!!!!
I've spent hours on it so far. At the moment I'm practicing Aerial Pursuit(I keep dying!)
I found the boss/base near end of Chapter 3 pretty hard, but thanks for phoenix - makes it easier for me!
I will download this, and play it as soon as time is at my hands again.
VG, you're so fixed at the false action that you don't see the right one! This may happen...
The action you discribe and which only allows official missions is the action "Enable/Disable Mission", not the action "Set next Level". And damn why should it work with my maps and not with yours?!!!
If you cant see it in the campaign folder, then you forgot to put it in. A file just doesnt dissapear like that.

Be reminded: You need to have the latest patch installed for this campaign to work. In addition, for those where the game doesnt unlock any maps past chapter 5, go into the campaign editor and unlock the remaining missions until I can get a fixed version up.

Metal Sonic: Yes, that's an older version you have.

Waldbar: The Game- set next level trigger ONLY WORKS FOR OFFICIAL MAPS! Notice how the functon only lists blizz maps and doesn't allow for variables. I remember saying that before....
-VGsatomi
YOU don't know how to set the next level in a campaign?
Simply use the trigger action "Game - Set next level" and enter the exact name the map has in the campaign editor. That's all. After the map is finished, the entered map will be loaded directly.
Still can't imagine that you didn't know that! :P
I'm sorry, that I can't download the campaign; 60 MB is too much for my one-channel ISDN connection and my computers always interrupt download with big files. :(
Hm, I must have an old version, I'm missing Chapter 5, the Interlude and Chapter 6. After I beat Aerial Pursuit I go to to Isolated Skirmish, did you update with a few extra things?
It's corrupted, can't see the campaign on TFT, neither can I see it in the Campaign Folder :/
Just beat last level game would have been a perfeact 100% best if it had voice overs some games do that i heard its hard though so I give the game 9.6
VGsatomi.
i'm truly impressed by the quality of the campaign:
the levels, the mini games , the new skins & models you [and others?] made.
keep on the good job. :P
there is however, one small con:
on each level, alicia is being usually back to level one, weird :?
hey also where did u get idea for this game? it sounds fimiliar to me (maybe we on same mind track)

PS. where u get that avatar
dude for kids who play the game dont u think beging when at index girls kind of revealing no that its bad.
O and your game is the best ive played on warcraft better than raiding undead towns in WoW
Did you try this link?

http://files.filefront.com/returnofalisiadragoon/;3897324;;/fileinfo.html
I'll give this a shot, is this the "newer" vs btw?

EDIT: OMG! For some reson my computer dowloaded like*checks size of file* 120MB OF PURE NOTHING! Absolutely nothing was in it, and i had to delete it and wait all over.. now let's c if it'll dl right now...

EDIT2: it won't work.. i can dl it as many time sas i wnat but it DL's 120 MB of $%&#! sry... it's just.. i wanted to play this so badly....:( pm me when u get this working right PLZ?!? either that or send the vs to [email protected] ... look forward to playing.. if it ever works..
Stay moving. Immediatly after a shot, circle around to avoid enemy fire until the recharge is complete, then repeat.
-VGsatomi
- Chapter 3's Wand of Teleportation cyclones the target. I dunno whether this is intentional, but it says it's supposed to teleport the target.

I hate Chapter 4 >_< Any tips? I've found out that Ctrl+T helps because then you can see yourself on the map.

Aww, vg, don't be so upset... After all, every mistake you make is but only a step to perfection. Nobody is perfect, thus we all have to make mistakes to perfect ourselves.(what kind of screwed logic have I made up?) Some things are inevitable and you should not blame yourself for what has happened. Just take every mistake you make as a learning point. ^_^
G-D DAMMIT

I'll be re-uploading it with all the stages unlocked. I double checked the triggers and campaign setup and found absolutely nothing wrong. I have no %$#@#Ing idea why its not unlocking. Sorry for the inconvenience, everyone.

So now 800+ peeps downloaded a critically bugged version...I am so done with mapmaking....something like this happens every %$#ing time.

If you really want to continue, you can open the campaign in the campaign editer and open up the next map manually. Its unprotected. If not, wait for the re-upload.
-VGsatomi
I defeated the boss in chapter 5 and it wont let me advance to chapter 6, am I doing something wrong or is it a bug.
RE: Chapter 2,The pathing was made intentionally so enemies could get through. Some allied units, such as soldiers and priests can squeeze through, but, again, it's Alisia who triggers all the events and soldiers are insufficent to do a lot of damage on their own, so it won't gain you any kind of advantage.
-VGsatomi
More notes! Chapter 2!

Minor spoilers, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

- It's difficult. ESPECIALLY at the last gnoll(kobold) camp. The spawns are mad, and even elder ones spawn I think...
- Near the water body north of the farmlands outside the city, (the most left), the forest next to it is crossable... you can squeeze units through. If you don't understand, just rescue a villager and trace his movement.
- Villagers can actually get stuck under the bridge which you leave the city by. (Late rescues)
- South of the first double-ranger ambush, you can head through the forest to the base if you're an unit.

Names are left out so it's unspoiler-ish.
wahhh! 60 mb? hmm.. but i'll try to download it..
I agree with the Apprentice one. I was burning the building north of him when he came after me.

I chased the Apprentice with my Phoenix. When he went to the lower edge of the camp (surprisingly, my 3 priests were on the other side...), I chain lightninged him and he mirror imaged and killed my 3 priests. >_< He can mirror image back in though.

Randel did attack, but only after I got into his range. I suggest maybe having him attack after the cinematic is over? That would make more sense. (But the Demolishers may cause a problem. :P)
Well, Alisia triggers all the events, and bosses cannot be damaged until she does so, so no, pheonix cannot kill the bosses early, but you can use it to thin some of the ranks around them if they don't have sufficient anti-air.

Mirror image? wierd. You must've really dragged the apprentice to the edge of the camp at the right time. All my beta testers simply finished him off in the center of the camp where he initially stood. I still dont see how he got through the pathing...mirror image is supposed to take pathing into consideration when placing the spawned images and the main unit.

Randel's passive aquire is pretty short. Are you saying he didnt attack at all when you faught him?

I don't know how to set next maps in costom campaigns, so yeah, you'll be going to the campaign's menu screen after every map. It seems as though they only allow you to set next maps for official maps, not costom ones. If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know.

I gave the Apprentice fewer buildings because its easier to tigger his attack event and lock the gates before setting all the buildings on fire, which would've left players in an impossible situation.
-VGsatomi
More notes after finishing the first map:

- The boss Randel (his name is revealed in the intro, so I can reveal it here) doesn't attack you once you come in his range.
- Flame Strike and Firebolt are both F.
- Are you supposed to go out into the Single-Player screen after each mission? o_O
- Are you supposed to have to restart at level 1? Sniff.
- I liked how in mission one they turned the tables around. ^_^ (No specificness, so it's spoiler-free)
- THE APPRENTICE CAN MIRROR IMAGE OUT OF THE CAMP! I HAD TO SEND MY PHOENIX TO KILL HIM! :P (Dunno how you're going to fix THAT.)
Edit: Forgot one, wait a minute.
- Phoenix flies over walls. I could kill a lot of stuff by sending my phoenix over. (You could theorically trigger a boss without having to go inside the camp)

Now in response to yours...

Why would you want blood stains to last forever? o_O

Alisia can be a powerhouse with the correct items, :D... I normally send in a few soldiers with defend first though, but demolishers can kill just about everything with their massive damage :x...

About the bosses, I think Orc Commander was too easy, Battle Fortress was too hard, the bat was easy (the first one anyway) and the Apprentice was easy too. I got the phoenix level at Orc Commander's camp so that may be why... But Battle Fortress had about 500 hp damage and that hurts >_<... It killed my soldiers in like 3 hits... I was forced to run around the camp like mad. o_O

Oh yeah, why did the Apprentice's camp only have 4 buildings? Was he too hard? o_o...
Thanks for the feedback. I'll be looking forward to your "notes." Being how much I critique other people's maps, I'ts time for me to take my own medicine :)

As for the pathing. I ran out of doodads to use pathing blockers with, but there are no exploits from pathing problems. I made sure of that.

I don't know how I missed some of the tooltips...I'm usually on those like butter on bread...my appologies.

In the first encampment (which is actually two connected camps), only half the buildings spawn enemies untill you reach further in, so you'll face rouphly the same ammount of enemies each camp.

Experience rate drops pretty fast each level, so its doesnt really matter if you are lvl 4 by the end of the first camp. If you have the patience, you could build up to 15 at the first camp. I guess I should set a level cap at the start and raise it gradually after defeating each boss.

The blood stains are doodads. they were meant to last forever.

The orcs are ordered to attack, not really to passive aquire, so that might explain the long chase.

The orcs only spawn when you are inside one of their encampments, so one tactic is to set a building on fire, retreat from the encampment, then rush back in when the cooldown is over and repeat. I intentionally made it long so players would devise tactics, rather then try to brute their way through. Alisia is not meant to be a powerhouse. I intentiaonally made it so players would have to take "runs" at the stronger enemies, or otherwise the game would be way too easy.
-VGsatomi
Okay, thanks, it seems to work fine now :D

I played a bit. I'm 1/3 through the first map. However, I have a few notes I took down: (There may be minor spoilers! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!)
--
You can cross through a lot of doodads. One example is the big rock that you can reach all the way right from your starting point. Near the fences, you can find a big rock that you can cross through. However, it just ends there, you can't cross much further, so this isn't a problem.

Creep wandering range is too darn high.(As in the Orcs move too darn far) I could pull a unit from north of the encampment near the barricades to the watery area east of the starting encampment.

The orcs above the encampment are in a very large group... that may be on purpose but it took me a few runs and I was level 4 already when I first took on them.

Blood stains stay on the floor for too long. No joke. Look at how long they stay.

Forked Lightning still says Sea Witch. Not a major problem here.

Reduce cooldown on Flint Stone please! *puppyface* It's VERY long right now, and I easily get hit by 4 people while I'm waiting for the cooldown to end.

Too many buildings in the first encampment! You can always get 4 people hounding you or more!

Thunder Clap and Chain Lightning both share the hotkey 'C'.
--
There goes. I'll probably be taking more notes as I progress.
Okay, for those who can't get the zip file to open, you can download it here instead. It doesnt use winzip, just downloads as a raw .w3m file:

http://warcraft3.filefront.com/file/Return_of_Alisia_Dragoon;43421
If it's from VG, I can trust the quality of it already. ^_^

Ugh, stupid zip file problem though >_<
The forums for this campaign are here:

Screenshots are included there. I hope you all enjoy.

Credits to all those who's resourses I used are given during the ending credits.

EDIT: this version is bugged. Chapter 6 does not unlock for some reason. I will be re-uploading soon. You can go into the campaign editor and unlock the map yourself if you desire if you doint want to wait.
