The start of an epic story of betrayal, romance, loss, and war. Following in the footsteps of Creatures Of The Night, and The Shadows Of Teldrassil, comes a new cinematic series...
PROLOGUE:
A thousand years ago... The Legend began with a hero`s rising.
First off, don't worry about taking that piece of music from SoT, but try not to make it a habit.
As for terrain, I think you share the same problem as me. Lack of patience for it. We want to get to the action. However, I liked it, its at least as good as mine (although a bit plain).
Conclusion: Cinematics are about more than Terrain, and the annoying people who do nothing but look at the scenery and ignore the plot and action should just be ignored. I give you a /clap and look forward to your next part.(BTW I just uploaded part five of SoT, if you want to check it out)
Waaaiiit... You think the terrain in ST is BETTER than the terrain in tSoT? I don't think either of them are very good, but I'm sure the terrain in tSoT is better than the terrain in ST!
Well, second cinematic, but the first was never released or finished, and it was back when I was just beginning to learn how to use the editor. As for the battle/plot ect. I know it's crap, but don't forget, this is just the prologue so you know what the Stone is. I don't get why everyone's badmouthing the Terrain though... It's a damn slight better than the crap in Sylvanus' Torment, or the not crap but iffy terrain in The Shadows Of Teldrassil. What do you think is wrong with it?
Lemme ask you, is this your first cinema ever or has there been more.Becuase if this is your first then I'd say your on your way to becoming a pro. Anyway it's just like uberfoop said using other ppl's cinema music will sometimes piss them off. So next time just ask if you can use it. Or just put in your credits where you found the music.
Good Points
Well the battle was average, only real excitement was when the achers and siege weapons attacked.
Terraining is also average. The Demons world was done pretty okay.
Story could go a long way.
BAD Point
The Battle was Toooooo short could be longer.
And whats up with a HERO appeared and saves them all thats nonsense he could atleast have fought the Demon Master.I mean he stands on a mountain lifts his sword and WHOOP DIDDLE DEE DOO...... POOF the Demon Master is suddenly trapped in a stone. That pissed me off. And what did the Hero die from a heart attack from climbing the mountain or something come on you don't just fall down and die.....
This is where your going to say he died from a spell to trap the demon master.
Nonsense again.
Improve on the Bad points then this will be a sweet cinema hope to see more of it.
maybe its my timing lol. cuz yer cinematic is so laggy on my comp that it barely plays out attack animations uin the battle, and even then you can really see...
Ah. I forgot about that damn looping music at the beginnning. Oh well. I actually just gather up all the music I can that sounds like it might be useful, from games, films, and yes, other cinematics, and pick the stuff which most suits the moment. Thank you for telling me about the music at the end anyway, I hadn't noticed that. Are you sure it's not just an issue with your comp's timing? Have you tried watching it a second time, or just the once? I didn't spot it in testing, and I watched the bloody thing about 50 times by the time I released it...
good but theres some serious music problems: 1: OMFG MUSIC FROM SHADOWS OF TELDRASSIL? WTF!!! yah, dont use music from other peopels cinematics...and if you do, make sure its not from a popular one. its kinda like using lines like "i can taste the rain with my ruptured lips" in your cinematic *cough*anub'arak*cough*... 2: eh, you cut off the music at end too early. in the sad mystery theme, when you go that far into it, you needed to wait for about 3 notes longer until that part of the song ends...if you dont know what im talking about, listen through sad mystery to the point where it goes in your cinematic, and then listen a few notes longer...theres a great cut-off point there.
