everything (units waves, heroes, items, ...) is ultimatly balanced as result of over 2 years of daily playing.
a super ability will be given to anyone who reach level 30. levels 8,15,21,26,30 are duel times, someone of either sides will go to duel arena and anyone who win the duel can pick items of his opponent!. good luck and have fun
