How does a map being protected make people not want to dl it? It doesn't seem to stop people from wanting to dl the latest version of DotA Allstars...

What's wrong with map protection? Just play it!
Tell everyone at precisely April 16, 2006 at 3:00pm pacific time to create this map. Maybe instead of seeing dota, we can see something else. Even if you can't host properly, just do it.
