Yes, lesser criminals would be tied to the cross. Also a rope would be bound around thier diaphram, making breathing harder and painful. After a week or two they would be let down. They couldnt walk afterwards, having not used thier legs for two weeks. Truly horrible!
Actually, the most common way to crucify a person was to put each leg on each side of the post and fasten them by their ankles to each side of the post.
Yeah, that was the main reason to crucifixion. Aside from being a horribly slow and painful death, it was like "a billboard of impending doom" to rebellious people. That's a very cool and useful model, and I dont think that just because it's a cross that itsa bad idea to have in WarCraft. It actually fits into the whole medieval fantasy theme. Hey, its not like the ACLU can touch WC.
They did if they wanted to make an example ;P
cool model, might use it in some Roman or religious map...shouldn't be a corpse on it though...they left them up there for a while but not until they rotted
you're right the head is supposed to be where you put it in the model. Good job. Yes. Hybrid, you're right. ROmans crucified many people
Actually, the head is near its chest. I should have done something about that.
but it still has a cross. and i dont really care about your history crap. im going into 9th grade, and for once i wont have to take any terrible history classes.

How the hell is that relevant?

Anyway, cool model.

I like it, though the head is missing and the legs should be crossed. I can imagine a nice animation of the skeleton actually moving on the cross :)
And why not? "Religious reasons"? Jesus wasnt the first nor the last man to be crucified. The romans used crucifiction as a form of punishment for more than five centuries...
i dont think posting a model of a crusafix and a corpse on it is a very good idea.
