its a night elf lamp post. this is my first model made from molding primitives. im probably goint to try and work with some modeling tools to try and find out how to make a glow. most liekly useable for a forest map of some sort. based on oinker's tutorial, only difference is that i added leaves.
Funny. NE don't really use lanterns, unless you made them with like fireflies. Nice concept, a bot weird, but good for some sort of forest and they use makeshift lighting
the end is supposed to be some leaves and a lamp bulb thingy, srry i think i may have positioned the uv field wrong for the leaves, thats why it looks wierd.
alcoyteofdoom, well, its not a geomerge, its not an animation transfer, then what is it? strange how the tutorial said it was a scratch model. an its not just moving vertecies, youd know that if you read the tutorial. dont clay modelers make their models from clay? they dont make the clay as they form it. its no differnt from how i mold a primitive into a form. but i dont care, go ahead, flame it and downrate it. i know i can do better than this. besides the tutorail itself said it was a scratch model, either im being misinformed, or your just wrong. i didnt ask your opinion if this is a scatch model or not, all i care is your opinion of the quality of the model. so if it makes you happy and shuts you up, ill change the info to say that i made this by molding primitives, like anyone cares.
Neat to see someone actually followed my tutorial. Nice job.
Just a suggestion, though: You can save a lot of file size (not having to import the texture) if you just point to the existing ancient protector texture. That would mean changing the line Image "forest.blp", to Image "Buildings\NightElf\AncientProtector\AncientProtector.blp", .
Dude... This isnt from scratch... you just moved verticies around... and you took this from Oinkerwinkles tutorial... Stop trying to makw yourself look like your a scratch modeler, your not.
hum interesting, i havent dled it but does it have some kind of glowing (like the glowing torch) if nope i think its would be something great to add if you can, good use for a doodad
