Skin created by me, applied to model by ShadowClaimer. its the necronomicon from evil dead. if used, give credit to both of us. yes, the screenshot was taken in the editor (try to imagine the purple cubes away).
the necrinomicon isn't really the book of the dead :/ the necrinomicon is.. well, the necrinomicon the book of evil spirts bound in human flesh and writen with the blood of 1000 virgins, kinda a sick book, i wouldn't even touch it, oh and the reason the face is like that is b/c the face is strched out over the book and sowed in the back but still, the book of the dead is the egyptian thing
i just want to make one thing clear. this is not based on the actual book, but instead on the one used in EVIL DEAD 1,2, and army of darkness. i dont mind the comments about the real ones but it would be best to keep in mind that this one is based on a movie. also, thank you for the comments, ratings, and downloads, it will be a constant inspiration to know that people like the small amount of my work.
no idiot, this the necrinomicon, book of the dead, from english/catholic relegion, not egyption, the book of the dead from egypt was black with gold embroidery, and gold hyroglyphs on it, and that little info on the movie THE MUMMEY helped no one, but yea the book of the dead from EYGPT is a holy one, and the book of life is the evil one, because the book of life, had ways to bing back the dead i think, but i aint sure, so no flaming me about that b/c egyptian mythology isn't that interesting to me, except for anubus cuz he just plain owned, along with RA
oh and get ready for a 2000000 word post from rexfist-malice, correcting me like always...
The Book of the Dead is egyptian mythology... none of this vodoo mumbo jumbo you guys are thinking of. Infact, the Book of the Dead is a HOLY book, and is what influecned all of egyptain society.... (its the story of osris's death and resurrection [the story where he got chopped up into 20 pieces]).
The skin is quite bland... white/grey combo isn't very great for a book called 'The Book of the Dead'.
Yes, nice, very nice. It actually could have many uses, which is a change considering most of the models we're getting lately... Oh, and we don't need a history lesson on an evil book, please.
5/5
@GreyArchon- Ah, yes, Eternal Darkness. That game is one of the few that actually freaked me out, just for the bizarre things that sometimes happened. Books floating down the hall like someone's carrying them, walls bleeding, things appearing from nowhere. When your sanity got low it just got funny, though. Sink into the floor, getting swarmed by a hundred zombies when you enter a room, blood falling from the ceiling, limbs start falling off... good times on that game.
I do believe that it is precisely what this is. ALTHOUGH: The Necronomicon was in fact a real book. The original copy was bound in human flesh and had a large pentegram branded into it. It was burned in 1215 AD by the catholic church. Hardbound copies can be found today, although churches have been known to sue stores that carry this book.
More like the Tome of Eternal Darkness. Pargon, Pargon, Tier, Pargon, Ulyaoth, Pargon, Aretak, Pargon, Pargon.
