Yes it does, in the Expanded Universe.

Hey tim btw i noticed you said these models are done already? You are talking about battle for hoth right? or the endor map you're working on. Btw wh'ats the progress of those maps, i haven't seen you guys around lately. Btw have you seen torch's star wars mod. Tha'ts gonna rock. ok well nice talking to you again. I hope you guys didn't give up on your projects... just cuz someone is working on one doesnt' mean that you have to stop yours. The star wars galaxy is big enough for all of us!

GL HF MAY THE BEST STAR WARS MAP/MOD WIN!
more animations added and it will be great .. but so far the models are coming along niceley 4.5/5

I suggest you request permission to use models made by others, its simply the right thing to do. By the way, if you had done your homework, you would know all these models are made already, and are simply waiting to go public, and on top of that, Voodoo-u2 no longer uses that allias and now goes by Chriz.. Thank you for taking the time to look through your information before pounding into areas where you should not dwell. Report this post if you wish, however it very much upsets me to see the lack of patients on this site. Maybe I should horde my models afterall, never let them go public. Leave the near perfect models in my folders to sit unused except byy the OutlawZ. Hmm, It will take time for me to make my desision, but remember, people like you have contributed to the desision.
It is in some of the SW books (and those are actually good...). More or less, it is kinda the future of Imperial starfighters, what with their flagging numbers and stuff. It was actually originally supposed to be ready for Endor, but got pushed back, which might make some wonder what the battle would have been like had they been there... Being that they were superior to X-Wings, B-Wings, Y-Wings (doesn't take much, lol), and only the A-Wing really woulda stood much of a chance 1v1 (with equal pilot strength), but the Defender's shields are better. Actually, it would be nice if the 2nd atk fired the ion cannons and the first fired the 4 lasers (since that is how it is supposed to be). By the way, it is largely forgotten in most games (for some reason), and probably won't appear in Empire at War (chronological reasons), but it did make an appearance in Star Wars Battlegrounds as the 3rd lvl of TIE Fighter (goes from reg TIE, to TIE Interceptor, to TIE Defender). I wish it would be in one of the Rogue Squadron games, although they probably need to make another TIE Fighter one.
damn you, you just had to make the skin Textures\TieInterceptor2.blp! you should have made without the texture part.... it just takes up more room in my campaign now  well anywho it looks great and its also funny that this was just what i needed thanks! Also the animations are fine for me because of the games system keep up the good work ( you to olof)!
Wow! With the Star Wars fever I was going to ask somebody to make this one. IF I'm not mistaken, this TIE appears only the game Rebel Assault II, right?
This model is a modified verson of the TIE Interceptor by Tim. But I have created the anims in GMax from scratch, like all of my models...
I think this model is made from the Tie Fighter by Tim.
Because its made from the Goblin Zeppeling, right?
but what anims does it need?
This is from scratch model? If it is you should have made few more animations, not 3.For now 3/5(i won't vote),but if you add few more 5/5(or 4/5)
needs more anims
Conventional Imperial design philosophies would not have produced the TIE defender, but the repeated successes of Alliance starfighter pilots forced the Empire's hand. Developed in absolute secrecy by the higher echelons of the Imperial Navy, the deadly new TIE defender was to be an evolution of TIE technologies in a bold new direction. Though labeled as a 'logical advance,' the defender was the Empire's silent nod of respect to the Rebellion's starfighter forces.
