Based on the WoW dragon Model modification by Olof Moleman Skin 100% freehand by Olof Moleman Model includes portrait You may need to resize the model a bit in the world editor, 50% or 70% is about the right size without making the particles look weird.
Great model! sorry to be editor and model illiterate here,but the model pic has a flying animation and as the animation list says so too, but how can i get the flying model version for the dragon? Do I have to make a morph spell? because I just want the flying dragon for a specific unit.

Olof didnt u get the idea of the skin from the balrog from BFME ?!?
I don't even have BFME, or have ever seen the Balrog from that game. but the LoTR Balrog was a slight source of inspiration, mainly just for the fire on the back.
For every one who liked this model, I may make anew improved version of it. if I do that I will add lighting, death sounds and burning footsteps. thus completing the effect.
u can use a morphing spell that uses the alternate form, similiar to the Demon Hunter's spell. thats the easiest and most user friendly way.
This is a great model, tho it is WoW based, i luv the texturing and the slight model alterations are freaking awsome aswell. Its a big model , but my gawd, its worth it!
errr... lemme clear things up. "NELFARION" is "DEATH WING" after being "consumed" by the demon soul (aka dragon soul). And the "BLACK WING" that appears in WoW is "NEFARIAN". Similar, yet different.
Anyway, really nice model =p the skin for ur dragon really looks like the one i did xD tho i only skinned. 5/5
You know what Werewulf you frickin go into models and start saying how olofmoleman is a better modeller and ''I wonder how we see the effort and skill in your models'' when I was clearly stating a point cause Metal_Sonic was being an idiot. Bringing up me and my skinning isn't relevant at this time and it's not helping ANYONE so quit it. Oh and by the way olof the spikes on the back of his front legs look stupid.
are you saying that the most popular model of the month is stupid? you are about the only one that has something bad to say about this model (if you don't count that people think 'the file is a bit big). so stop whining about tiny little details, I put way more effort in to this mod then you did when you stole it from me.
And bringing up your skinning IS relevant. why should your oppinion of the skin matter? you know almost nothing of texturing, you are nitpicking and you stole my model.

from the back of the front legs, they r rock spurs, fissure and small rock spires, giving him a more spikey deadly effect.
and if you ever looks at your skins and olofs, trust me... he pwnz u. black splotches with a red, yellow and orange backround? wtf is that? thats the most lamest exagaration... ever heard of the word molten?
Nice use of Partice Emmiters. Oh and guys the texture is not THAT superb. Its a cool idea yes, but all it is is a bunch of black splotches with a red, yellow and orange backround. Although good job. Somewhere inbetween a 4 and a 5 rating is what I give.
P.S. Somethin weird with it. There are tiny spikes coming out of his front legs.
When people talk of Nefarion they refer to him as "Blackwing", yes. But this is a fan-invented nickname and isn't official, and nothing in the game suggests such a name
edit: forgot to add my own comment about the model, O.o Nice job, awesome skin! Did you use magos model editor? I've been using it and it let's you easily add particle emitters =)
Yes I did use magos model editor, moslty just for adding the particles.
You can't find Deathwing in WoW. You kill Nefarian in Blackwing Lair (is he the blackwing? seens like yes).

Of course it's a big file, it's highly detailed (both model and skin), it has 33 particle emitters. what do you expect? anyway, the base model I used was even begger, that was 1.6 MB (without the skins)
i've seen every single model on this site and many others. This model has earned it's place SO HIGH on the list, that there aren't any more nominies until 4th place. Yup, this guy takes 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
