Its not necessary to close World Editor to see a model, it only necesassry if you want to see it, but if you insert in a spell or something it will appear.
about the size of a barracks, huh? well, since I'm using it for a spell I can't enlarge it....... Looks really good anyway, but i'll have to change it to a bit more greenish color to fit the caster.
This model is amazing!! I will use it in my space map! The other that looks literally like a black vortex but not like a black hole... Specially for your model [color=red]12/10
What do YOU Know about space ... I will give a little info:
The collaps of starts greater than 3-4M (solar masses) cannot be stopped by the pressure of neutrons. The collaps continues even when the radius of the star becoms less than Rg. Rg= 2GM/c² which leads to the formation of this black hole.
Acctually, the reason it gives of that light is from a gamma ray burst. Gamma ray bursts occur when a neutron star collides with a black hole. It emits a huge amount of lethal gamma and x-rays shooting out from the hole.
Lol FF7 You are an idiot black holes emit light around it it cant devour all thge light at once. Then it releases x-rays from the light thats how we track it. Im so much smarter than you
well i was reading the post and i must say 1 thing U CANNOT SEE BLACK HOLES here is the definition: Blackhole: A matter of entense gravity formed from a collapsing star or a collapsing supernova, the term blackhole comes from the fact that the gravity is so strong not even light can escape it, but black holes let off and emmense amount of X-rays alloing scientists to see it with an x-ray microscope this is the only proof we have of Blackholes
sorry if i seem mean just wanted to point that out, AND TO ALL WHO SAY DIFFERENT THAN YOU'RE AND IDOIT cuz i just did a 50 page report on black holes so F*** U who says diff.
Looks nice. One does not have to restart we after importing a model. You import model and all textures + attachments, then save map and then apply it to a unit and it will work emidiately.
um hum carrington, THANK YOU! you fixed all my problems with that 'Eg: Change "war3imported\BlackHoleSkin04-64.blp" to "BlackHoleSkin04-64.blp" ' phrase.. and the model and skin they both rock! thx man!
To the 3 posts below me: I just retested the model and it works perfect for me. Please make sure that you modify the texture and model paths to that only the filename shows.
Eg: Change "war3imported\BlackHoleSkin04-64.blp" to "BlackHoleSkin04-64.blp" You also need to restart the World Editor after importing ANY model.
Might I add that this model looks wonderful on blight, scales up very well and its sexier than i remembered. /me pats self on back
If you have any other problems please post them in the Modeling forum or read the model import tutorial. Thank you for your interest in my models -Carrington2k
i think it awsome but im kinda new at downloading. And when i try to place the black hole it says there is an error and when i test the map its just a shodow. Ive read the tutorial but i still cant get it can somone help me????
Eh im trying to use this as a spell based on flamestrike, but you have a separate skin & model, i tried to use, spell effect - imported - blackhole.mdx but when i use the spell, it wont show up, do i have to link the two files together to see the model? tell me how, seems like the model dont work
aha ok then i understand why. its good and i´ll be very glad if you could make more SPACE models. take a look at this black hole http://homepages.wmich.edu/~korista/web-images/accretion_ncstate.jpg its a small area in the center which is total black nad you´ll uerstand what i meent
I haven't downloaded it, but just looking at it I can tell it'd be good for linking two maps together. Like when one world is getting destroyed, and a mage summons a portal into another. If only I could figure out how Game Caches work, I could make a good campaign...
HOLY SHIT THIS ONE IS SO GOOD DAMN GOOD SO ITS UNBELIVEBLE. I GIVE IT 100/5. can you mkae more object like those. for exemple tiny galaxies, nebulas, stars, comets or that klind of stuff
