And btw to ppl who keep saying its so easy to do: Even if it is very easy to do (for some ppl it isnt), by putting it up on this site, asgard is simply helping noobs figure things out with a template for the system, because thats the easiest way for people to learn. By putting knowledge like this on this site, people will learn to tinker around in world editor, and possibly discover something different altogether.
Btw i used this system as a base to make an alarm system for my starcraft: ghost styled map, using flashing fog effects (create/reset fog @ intervals when a unit comes too close to an alarm unit)
==READ== I said could someone submit a spell with underwater, Water Wars is protected, and I don't really like their underwater style cause it takes up extra space on the map (if you didn't know, half of the map is underwater, other half is land) so it would simply waste space. Eziekiel_Rage sorry to disappoint you but it's not easy at all to do filters for individual players, believe me I've tried it . . . even though there's a script in the JASS section that lets you do that, those JASS scripts are difficult to implement.
Eziekiel_Rage no it's not that easy. Fade filter only works for all players, unless you're using World Editor Unlimited, which quite frankly not everybody uses.
Btw could someone submit an underwater system? Like not how to get the underwater effect (phooey, everyone can do that) but like with units ACTUALLY going underwater. I've attempted it with a water doodad, made to look like water, but that didn't turn out right because when I lowered the terrain where I wanted the underwater to be, the water doodad would go really low and it would just look like a pit of water lol.
this is very easy if you want water on some part and not for other make the water all you have to do is create a cinematic fade filter and change the coloour and transparancy to however dark or light you want it (which can be set for individual players). then make a region for when your on land change the cinematic fade filter.
Is there anyway to change fog like this for multiple parts on a map??? Cause as far as i can see this only effects the whole map when setting it.. (What if i didn't want a map all in water... (Just some parts all in water and whatnot.)) Is it possible?
