First of all, thank you for making this version of it. 
Second, it does hav a few problems. The trees can end up to close together. It's kind of hard to explain that one in wrighting, suffice it to say take a look at the corpses of the spell-grown trees. This can cause problems if a spell-grown tree dies. Sometimes extra trees wil grow around the edges. Well I guess it didn't have a "few" problems, it just had one.
