Hero Making Contest: Blight Circulator: Spell casting hero, originated from corrupted orcs. Can learn Trail of Blight, Blight Bomb, Raise Scourge, and Nova of Blight. If you edit or use any of these spells, or the Blight Circulator hero, give me credit.

Actually I think that the nova seemed better before you triggered.

But anyway it has a (very) good chance to reach at least top 5.

i like this hero a lot :D. oh yeah, Nova of Blight, when you cast it, the location of the nova can be messed up if you continue to left click around after casting the spell, or even moving the hero sometimes. Wierd i know, probably just with mine, but something to consider when using jass. what confuses me even more is the nova appeared from behind me, where i had NOT clicked. hmmmm. Anyway, i really like this hero, although nova of blight and blight bomb are virtually the same spell minus the bomb's dependancy on blight and the novas strength. Also effects spell immune units (infernal) so next time put it in the spell description so people don't assume it won't work on them. Trail of Blight is VERY COOL! Three thumbs up. Keep up the good work :D

For the hero contest i think you can use trigger enhanced spells but for some reason the moderators are saying that the hero cannot have trigger enhanced spells (NOT SURE WHY, THEY MUST HAVE MISREAD...OR I DID...)personal message the person who made the contest and he should be able to help you Arksword(sv).

Its amazing how blizzard didn't create a hero that had anything to do with blight because it is a huge part of the undead.
I would have made a hero but i don't have much time with school and all. Also im sooooo lazy and i am playing some other games. (like a totally mutatored Unreal Tournament 2k4 lol)+(dawn of war [seems pretty much like warcraft but it has some crazy features]){One example of a feature is the terrain having no cover-to-heavy cover (NEW IDEA FOR SPELL LOL)

This is a very nice hero, I love all the spells

Suggestions
1) Hero needs to be moving for trail of blight to work
2) The eye candy for the blight bomb isn't much, though i like the spell
3) could use dark conversion death as the blight nova model

But i think this hero is better then anyother i have seen

Well tomorrow's the big day. Good luck to all the heros! Whether the Bligh Circulator wins or not, he is still going to corrupt the entire Warcraft universe with fields of blight! AHAHAHAHA! Hmm... Fields of Blight...good name for a campaign. Good luck once again :wink:

Edit: Updated again. Nova of Blight is reworked. It now is basically all triggers, but not alot of them. The birth sfx is new, as is the death, as opposed to the night elfish, watery, explosion, thing. Doesn't look much like the screen shot nemore :-( . Also, Trail of Blight has a new icon, instaid of the dumb old undead and night elf building icons. Go go go Blight Circulator!
Dubble EDIT: Updated once again lol. Just added a new user friendly command, for the test. It's called helpers, check it out! I also fixed a small bug with raise scourge.

Updated again. Now Nova of Blight is much more neater, and looks a hell lot better. I used an extra trigger for it, sacrificing using an extra trigger, but gaining perfection. The Blight Circulator is in tip-top shape, and ready for competeing in my view.

Not quite. Trail of blight is basically a portable corruption tool. You can use it to regenerate your units' health faster after creeping, and even while the fight, just by putting them over the blight. You can also you it to set up ziggurates in areas around the map without the sacrifial skull, or building an entire town hall. Money saver eh? Also, it doesn't take long to get to level 2, so then you can get blight bomb and set traps on the battlefield and so fourth. Or raising scourge is a good defensive weapon at level 1 for rushes :D , and even a good tool to make em for a quick few units to help creep. All this, just at level 1! I may update him again, change sum effects and so fourth.
EDIT: Just a slight graphics upgrade for TOB. The undead fire got messed when he walked, so I replaced it with green missile type thing that looks nicer when he walks.

Ok. I toned down the Nova a bunch. It's more fair now I guess. :(
EDIT: Goddamn. People keep on giving me ones. This spell was at like 4.5 and now its all the way down again. wah.

this a good hero in general, there is just a detail, THE NOVA IS THE MOST POWERFULL SPELL I EVER SEEN, I guess you can change it a litle and lower his power a bit...

@Switch33: I just fixed all those and uploaded again. The nova is now much much better. You will only see maybe 1 effect not go outwards, sometimes none, unless you cast it near the map's boundries, but nothing bad usually happens. I also changed the terrain, and guess what!? I fixed that blight problem. It was somehow linking with blight that was out of the boundries I forgot to remove, but WE didn't recognize it cuz it wasn't suppose to be there. He's almost perfected. GOGO Blight Circulator! :D

There is a glitch when u cast blight trail and u run out of mana...This is a problem because it doesn't drain his mana anymore but it does spawn blight. Nova does not fully have all the units moving in a circle outward. 3 or so don't move to away from the targeted corpse as fast as the other units. Very cool hero though i give it a 4/5! :wink: You should probably change his primary attribute to intelligence lower his strength per lvl and increase his intelligence per lvl so he can cast more and is more rounded.

Thank you. I had so many ideas for a hero, but this guy moved me the most because of a little condition in the trigger editor I noticed not too long ago while making an ability, Point is blighted. I doubt I will win though, considering I submitted this so early, and now people have things to compare with, and there's so much time left, but ohwell. :)

dont worry about the rating it has almost nothing to do with this site now. Could be a jack ass that dosen't want your hero to win over his, but they arn't gradeing on the rate. BTW nice hero, better get back to mine now.

Somebody gave me a 5, then somebody gave me a 1 I think. Maybe I didn't deserve the 5, but definitly not the 1. Somebody is an ass. But thanks for the coments anyways. And finally, another good thing about his trail of blight spell, is it can help you create mini bases where ever you want, without contrusting an undead town hall or goldmine, or making lines of towers to move blight to somewhere. You can use the sacrifial skull, but I find this more useful.

Very good custom hero! Trail of blight reminds me of Archimonde in the last NE ROC mission. I've also noticed the bug where it makes blight where it doesn't supposed to be, but i think it's the fault of WE not you. The ultimate is awesome too, i just dunno what spell u used to do it :) ... i'll take a look into the map.

Why is it voted only for 3.25? Anyway i'm going to raise this number.

I'm going to give you some props. Your hero has the most unique abilites out of the ones I've seen in this contest and you aren't breaking any rules. Very nice. I also like the blight idea, I think though that if the blight dispelled after awhile it would make the Trail of Blight seem a little more useful because after so long the whole map would be covered and render that spell useless. Regardless, I'm going to give you a 4.

Crap! Sorry for the double post, but I forgot to mention you need the dumb patch for this. I only used one thing from it, but I really needed it for blight bomb. (The art for the explosion) Very sorry yall... :cry:

My contribution to the Hero making contest. I'm pretty sure nothing like this has ever been done before (blight based spells). And since the contest was based on making a balanced hero, I didn't make big flashy spells or anything, so don't be surprised when you don't see a giant sphere in there :wink: There is only 2 known problems with this.
1: On the nova spell, I did it without triggers, to save time and problems, and sometimes the novas move in wrong directions, but it isn't that bad.
2: I think this had to do with my terraining on the map, but sumetimes with Trail of Blight, after making blight, it links and forms huge lines of it with some invisable blight, but for some reason, it isn't even blight. It looks exactly like it, but the spells don't work on it, and life regeneration isn't even increased on it. I tried fixing but it isn't too much of a threat, since it isn't even blight at all. But once again, I think it was something I did in the terrain, cause I put blight down a few times and removed it and stuff :D . Hope you like.
