Hello, I have made a start cinematic for my map (Maze Of Evil) but it is a bit long and people usually dont wanna watch the cinematic more than one time if they gotta restart because they lose. So here is my question: How do I put in A -skip cinematic function? Please help me
i am not sure for this even, i mean if I writed it right
Event - player presses esc key, or whatever is th etrigger condition: whatever.... action: trigger - Turn off (your cinematic trigger) Camera - pan camera for player # to (some region)
Event: Player - Player skips a cinematic frequence (or something) Condition: Any Action: Cinematic - Cinematic mode off Camera - Pan/apply camera over # seconds. (optional)
Uh oh guys don't simplify something that's really hard to do. You know, in your cinematic, things happen (units kill other units, anything is created or whatever). If you would simply stop the cinematic the results would differ from the time you stop the cinematic. So you need a trigger that finishes all important things that happen in the cinematic very fast after you've pressed ESC. I think the best tutorial for this is made by Blizzard, to be more specific it's their demo-campaign (dunno which of the maps, I guess the second one). If you have no access to those maps, tell me.
thanks for the help guys, but well I couldent get it too work (it f**ked some things up) and dont wanna waste anymore time on a little thing like that so people are just gonna put up with the 40 sec (or so) cinematic in the begining
So somwtime tomorrow the new version of the map will be up ( maze of evil 1.8 )
Seriously the best possible way to figure this out is to open up blizzards scenario map Blizzard TD. They have a similar trigger. It just cancels the cinematic and cleans up the units. Pretty simple. [/img]
