how could i edit war3map.j?

how could i edit war3map.j?

I opened a war3map.j which is in a protected map .
And then I put it in that map.But when i choose it in war3 the war3 said that the war3map.j is broken.
How could I edit war3map.j with a right mode.Who can help me?

What have you done in it, that could possibly break the war3map.j . Are you sure that the war3map.j you pasted in the map wasn't corrupted already?

dont take stuff from protected maps, especially since you have to have the same regions, doodads and cameras if any are used in that map. i mean, if the map creator designates a doodad, you have to have a doodad with the same name or you'll get errors, so dont take stuff from protected maps, ask teh creator for it.
