hi all, i've just read this topic http://www.wc3sear.ch/?p=FAQ so i think map unlockin is not criminal? in battle one man from our clan gave us an interesting map and after 2-3 hours playing this map we thought about some balance fixes, but the map is locked =( so i want to ask u to help me to open it and stick unlocked map in this thread. i do not want use my copyrights or smth like this, we (me and some my clanmates) just want to make this map more interesting. here is this map etsbeta.w3x

Shouldnt you speak to the original map maker about this and ask for his permission? I doubt someone who protected their map would really want it opened up and edited as the purpose for protecting their own work is to stop others from altering/modifing it.

The whole urpose of map protection is to prevent people like you from screwing with other people's work. No doubt you'd take credit for the map after you made your little "changes", no?

I'm against map protection because it prevents people from learning from experienced mappers...but when people like you come around...I'm all for it.

Do not discuss map protecting or deprotecting in the future, please.

ок, thank you all, i've already unlocked it with Deprotect v2.1, thanks a lot once more. blizzard.ru helped me again. good people there.
