Maps don't work!!

Maps don't work!!

About 2/3 of every map I download from this site don't work (I put them in a specific folder so I know exactly where they should be, but they don't appear when I go to host them).

Can someone Please fix this

Are you extracting the files themselves or you leave them on zip?

2/3 seems like a big quantity

2/3 of maps, and there are like 3282 maps , so someone would have to fix 2188 maps?

Possibilities:

1. Your wc3 version not up to date (v 1.18 ).
2. Those map created on non-english war3 world editor.
3. You haven't yet unzipped the files.

1) I'm up to date on the patches, v1.18 as of now, I play on BNet all the time.
2) ???
3) I unzip them in my warcraft maps folder.

Well I'm just saying 2/3 of the maps that I download, maybe I just happen to run into broken maps or something, I dunno.

That's one of the maps that didn't work.

Change the name of the mapfile to something short, Warcraft often doesn't recognize maps with weird filenames.

or you can try this, open the map on world editor (if unprotected), then click test play to play the map. your warcraft 3 will create a copy of this map to folder named Test Map. go to this folder and copy the map on Maps folder. Rename it like original one, of course you must get rid the original one from Maps folder. This map will show up on map list, hope this help.
