Looking for an Animator
I'm looking for a skilled animator, so i can hire them. No payment but I will gladly share my models. I you can see I can Not animatate and if I did. I would be in blizzard by now. Well alothough I cant make models from scratch. I need a skilled animator who is willin to take this invation of peace and teamwork. I would also like to learn under and from them.
I may be able to help bere... The only thing I must say is that if I have to animate a model, it means animating from scratch - I cannot make a single animation and paste it onto an existing model, for example. If you need to see an example of my work, then go down the Prehistoric model section and find Olof Moleman's T-rex model - I did the lovely animations on that. Shows I can cope with teamwork, too.

Rao you should really learn how to edit animations. Sometimes you get the best stuff that way.

yes. I've seen yur animations. Very good. I was wondering could u make some animations for this tuaren I'm doing later or maybe a monster i will be makin. It will be awhile before the model is ready so you may forget I even asked to team with u.
I can animate anything and everything except those with more than four legs. I can billboard planes for little spheres, I can add scaling, I can make things fade... Worry not!

Wow. U r really special. Hmmmm....I was also wondering how to do colour change like on the grom model. Can u do that?
Coincidentally, I only just a couple of days ago worked out how they do that. So yes indeed, colour change is easy, now I know how it's done. I can do all kinds of things with MDLs these days. And if I don't know how, you can tell me an example model, then I can probably work it out.

Wow. I was wondering if I can learn from u? What program do u use and if not maybe I can get msn or something and chat.
Well, it's your lucky day - I've been compiling all my MDL notes into one handy package, but it's not finished yet. For modelling and animating, I use Milkshape 3D, and then fill in the gaps using any old text editor. If you want to get together on MSN to discuss further, then [email protected] will see you through to me. However, I am going on holiday tomorrow, so you won't see me for a week.

k. But I use xfire at www.xfire.com it like a gaming msn. Well I got milshape but is being gay. I need a better version that can actually impoert/export PROPERLY. Thanks pal.
Hmm. Well, the fact is, Milkshape can import or export properly. The best for import is geometry and UV mapping, and the exporter can get you a good MDL with lots of holes in it. That's all there is. Anyhoo, good bye for now!

Where can i get these? I dont get u? holes? Hmmm...Well ok. See ya, hope u enjoy yur trip!
I'm back! Milkshape comes with the importer these days, does perfect geometry and UV mapping. The MDL exporter, as far as I know, cannot be got anywhere, so I'd need to send you that. By "holes" I mean that there are areas that are not exported, and one must fill in these gaps to get the MDL working.
