HELP MY MAP IS PROTECTED!!!!

Ok if this is the wrong forum just move it, but i was working on my map the other night importing skins and models and stuff, nothing out of the usual, when in the mourning i try to open the map, IT WAS PROTECTED!!!!!! So please please help me if you can, this was my best map and i have been working on for months and months and i dont want all that time of work to be for nothing, *note* i do have other saved ones but those are REALLY OLD, if i used them i would basically be starting the map all over.

what program did you use last on it?
#3
Lol the map can't protect itself. What message did you receive when you tryed to open the map? Did you import invalid trigger data into the map?

#4
well it goes to loading map info and then it says level data info missing or invalid.
#5
thats happend to me with a few models, did you import any models?
#6
Open the map with winmpq and delete the imported files. See if that works. We will not go any further into how to unprotect a map. Like mentioned above, maps dont protect themsevles. If it is just a corrupt file or trigger, hopefully just doing that will solve the problem.

Yeah i imported quite a few models recently and i think that i can sort through which ones caused the problem, but umm vg. this is going to sound kinda dumb but what is winmpq? Or were do i go to, to find it.
#9
ok i opened it and installed win mpq but I CANT UNDERSTAND WHAT ITS SAYING!, it is in a different language lol. Anything else that i can try?
#10
you have to install winmpq?? i never installed it, and it works. i just open the winmpq.exe
and im pretty sure you can change the lanugage.

Language? It's in english for me. I didn't have to change it.
Install RunPack3 and Vbr4 and it will work i guess.
Then you Open your map, and there's war3map.wgt and all that things. Find the imported models and delete them. Before you do that, i think you should extract the models to somewhere in your system, or you will have to download them again. You should also create a text document and write the paths to the models' skins/textures.
