Custom Unit Portrait

whenever i click a unit with my custom skin, the Portrait is some obscure view of the unit.
im really confused. if there are any programs i need, i have a mac so...... yeah.

is there any way i can fix it so it is just the unit's face?

it's a custom skin i put on a unit. the original file is demon hunter

make sure that there arent any model files named herodemonhunter_portrait.mdx.
