Useing New Maps

hello it is my first time on this sire (it was recomended by a friend)I was wondering when i download maps how do i get them to be playable? Where do i download them, to? I tried just opening than dragging the unzipped file to the WC3 Map Download folder but that did not work. Please help

P.S. I tried downloading a maul, and then a TD neither worked

hmm.. that's all actually that you need. Unzip it first, then copy it to Warcraft3/Maps/ directory.

If the map still doesn't appear in the folder, shorten the filename. It's a well known problem that Warcraft doesn't display maps with to long or weird filenames.
