What does all this stuff in a MDL mean? I've converted some MDX files to MDL but now I don't know what everything stands for.
I've had a lot of experience in modelling with 3DS MAX 3 and know all about emmiters, vertices and whatnot. But I don't know what all of these values represent.
If someone can just enlighten me on what parameters are used where.
I think .mdl is the same as .mdx. When you apply model changes on the object manager to a imported .mdx, it is displayed as a .mdl. For some reason, .mdl is the same as .mdx? You can convert .mdl to .mdx and vice versea with War3 file converter though.
In the text equivelant of a MDX or MDL file there are values assigned to certain parts of an part of the like for example: A particle emmiter must have an variable called speed or something that defines how fast the particles will move.
But the question is which one of the many is it?
There's no way to tell which values are assigned where since there are just numbers and no indication as to which variable it's linked.
I want to know whether there's a fixed pattern to how the variables are arranged and what that pattern is.
