i would go back to find the person's name to give proper credit, but what if you took like 30 items from different authors? are you going to find them 1 by 1?

Yes I do exactly what did you say if I use others' resources.

Yes, and if you didn't wrote it down when you downloaded it you've obviously not the wisest person I know.

If people spend hours/days/weeks/months/years, depending on how slow they are, making resources, do you really think that it is correct not telling who made it when you use the resources?

Now, better find all authors or delete all the stuff you didn't make yourself. And don't cry, it's not the hardest thing to credit people, it's actually harder to make the resources.

Have a nice day/night depending on where you are in the world.

Well, in the only map I've released here, I gave credit to the others, but what I'm saying is reality, you can't expect everyone to credit everyone for everything they download. I know, they're expected too, but most people won't go the trouble.
I'll be honest, if someone used one of my models, I wouldn't really care if they gave me credit or not. All my stuff that is released is based on existin g Blizzard material, so I really don't care either way.

Honestly, if you're making something for credit, you shouldn't have made it at all - or even submitted it.

Maps are made as a whole, yes, I do give credit to whoever I know I've gotten the resources from, but seriously, who really cares?

Yes, try to make a spell from scratch and see how long times it takes if you want quality. Then you would want credit for your work.

I haven't looked at your resources, but my experience is that people who don't want credit for their work, usually only made stuff so crappy that they don't even like it themself.

And people not giving credits in their map usually won't do it because they are idiots, or because their map is cr@p, while the imported resources aren't and they want to look like they can make un-crappy stuff.

Honestly, if you're making something for credit, you shouldn't have made it at all - or even submitted it.

Shouldn't we? I know there's a lot of idiots here, but still you can submit it, I do know people who use resources by other and gives credits.

If you don't give credit to someone making something, you get into those stupid situations like with Xaran's Goblin Jet in Darky's goblin bomber spell map

Also, I'm pretty sure its illegal by the Internet Copywrite Law to not give credit if you're using someone else's material

Well, I have to admit, my resources certainly aren't great, but I'm sure lots of people will find a use for them. Besides, that was months back, and I've learn a lot since then. I've begun scratch modeling as well, and it certainly takes time, especially exporting :? But, I see what you're saying, but next time you don't have say my models are bad just because were talking about credit.

I never said your models were bad. I just spoke about how things are in general.

Well, that's what I got out of it. But, let's just forget about it now. Forgiven and forgotten, as they say.

i think it would be kind of troublesome to go back and search for the list of people

just like how it was troublesome to download all those models in the first place. if youre not willing to look at who uploaded it, then you shouldnt have the model in the first place. better yet, the author shouldnt have uploaded it in the first place if his work is not going to be recognized.
