highlight the edges, burn the area inside the stone. You can use afronight's unfinished druid of the claw as a reference.

Sorry halo ! I dont go often in skin forum because i'm too lazy to scroll down the forum page, so i hadnt answered when you asked me to post my wips :(

Be sure i'll do it :P

Anyway, very cool works here, i like the face of your grunt afro

Looks blurry, and need more smudge. Try to smudge cleanly, using soft edge brush and low strength. Anyway, I don't see a significant change from the original one.

its not that bad. obsidian isnt black diamond so its hard to define but black and gruttle textured. Hmm...not bad...
#21
yea, obsidian is very hard to recreate...

No.....

I think the whole lava giant thing doesn't work cause it has a static texture. But if you want to do it, try alphaing out the leaf parts.

Also take afro's suggestion on the color and the highlight.

I agree, this parts can looks good, but only with leaves or blades, with lava, it's like you're trying to put water. Techninc was good, but not idea :)
otherwise it looks quite good, but try add some purple

The lava isn't lava enough. It needs more yellow perhaps. And the stones he is made of looks quite good. Perhaps some nice details, instead of only lava and rocks.

Ohh.. and I agree with the idea of alphaing out the leaf-parts.

I would love to see some proper shading, and a little more details on those skins! :)

Good for you!

Now, try skinning models for Warcraft 3 for 2 years and then realise high detail is worthless.
