i as just ondering... about how much does Darky pay to run the site?

actually its a huge financial burden for me.
And i dont shut it down, because i made it for the wc3 community.
The fact remains, the site uses vast amounts of webspace and has nearly a terrabyte traffic a month.
Paying this as a student with no income hurts a lot.

ya, i can imagine how much that would hurt with no income.

Rui the reason of this is because he is the sites main mod and its rare that you see him yet even more rarer he quotes you

why does darky not visit his own site much anymore then, if he pays so much for it?

I think that there should be a way to donate cash to the site, if i had a job, i would certainly do it (not a huge amount, just £5 a week) and then if other people decided to, then it would certainly make things better for darky. But sadly, i dont have a job however, i will in 3 years time

You can donate money by using paypal, theres a little logo of it in upper left corner where the WoW add also is.

The cost of this site is probably quite financially destructive, as much traffic that comes in here darky's prolly paying like $50 a month. And as a student that would kill you financially. Especially with no income. But if darky did something like my site has (a preffered members area) he might get the site to even out and he might make about as much as he spends in bandwidth monthly haha. All he has to do is add in some special "bonus" features for users who are "preffered" customers. Preffered customers would pay roughly 3-5 a month and have more benefits than normal members. (such as access to new forums etc.) This would help darky alot financially and with how much traffic this site gets he might actually start earning back some of that money he spends.

Or keep it alive...anyway i was just making a suggestion that might help darky pay for the page thats all. Think about if it were you, would u keep paying high amounts of money to keep the site going? anyway in any case it was just an idea and i mean wc3sear.ch already has a higharchy:

The only thing this would do is add in a new level to that between users and single forum mods which allowed access to new forums, maybe official contests and beta testing.
