First of all you must rip the tracks on CD from *.cda to *.mp3 (use some ripping programs like FreeRIP or what), and here you are. I recommend using lower bitrates to save space.

so, how exactly DO you lower the bitrates?

There are TONS of programs to convert audio through many formats and bitrates, you can also choose destination bitrate when ripping CD.

Google is your friend

it might just be me and my lack of computer language but,... is bitrate the amount of information you send through every time? :?

and what format should we best change to?

You can even do it with Winamp (5.00 +), but only to mp4 (you can rip to mp3 only with Winamp Pro, which is commercial). Then you must convert these mp4s to mp3s.

I recommend using Google. Personally I use FreeRIP 2 for ripping CDs.

@qwerty: yeah, its pretty like it. 128 kbit, 256 kbit, the lesser value is the less size the file takes, and the lesser quality it has.

If memory serves me well, Warcraft can support only mp3 and wav.
