ok in Tides of Blood there is a spell for the initiate of the sun that is based off of shockwave that has a phoenix shooting out.

all i know how to do is the caster part how do i make the phoenix shoot out instead of shockwave.

you are talking about Phoenix Wake right? just go to the object editor, search for the shockwave spell under the spell section, and search for "Projectile Art" and change it to Unit > Phoenix

Yeah, if is only it what u are searching the correct way is just it.
Object Editor (F6) > Abilities > Orcs > Heroes > Shockwave > (change the Art - Missile art value to the model of the Phoenix!)

did you want the "after burn" effect?
