Yeah, it is really simple, but some people have absolutely no experience with graphics and stuff like that, for people like them it can be really hard to make a simple avatar. Some people may have problems with their computers. So I too think there should be a bit more avatars to choose from in the gallery.

Eh, I never made any smilies, but I have experience with making realy small pictures, if you go to http://swtj.sw.funpic.org you can see what my skills are whith that kind of thing, the forum rank pictures are made by me (exept for the lightsabers).
