I'm sick of seeing CnP from games or movies or cartoons or whatever in the icons section. It's ok if you EDIT the icon significantly (not just add border, recolor or basic changes) but if not, I will delete it at once.
And through this, I am asking your opinion: Do you think I am too harsh? After all, many of us could do CnP but real icon art is what you do yourself, not copying and taking credits for yourself.
Oh, and if you see any such icons (except WoW) you are being asked to announce me. But please, don't just make assumptions. Tell me where have you seen the icon/image before. I may make some few exceptions, but don't count on this, ok?
the only problem with those rules is that realy good icons without DISBTN would still be deleted, so I think that if the icon is realy good you should tell the maker of the icon to make a DISBTN or else you'll delete it.
I think they should be allowed ONLY if they are an assigned icon, because it saves people from having to make one themselves every time they download a mode/skin. -VGsatomi

if someone gives himself the job to make an skin/model of a cartoon (or whatever) character, he can also makes an icon for it, even a screeshot
its better than those trash in the icons section

Diablo crap mass is gone. It took me about an hour but around 150 icons are gone. Today I started deleting those crappy gun icons, all CnP. Man, I feel like I'm in good shape for deletion.
And since nobody has something against my juristiction, long live the Daelin way!

Well Daelin if you have deleted 150 then i recon you will have the icons section cleaned up very well good job keep up the good work.
Anyway by the looks of things this site is on its way to the top where it should be. but without the help of the mods it cant get there eh.
Ok, I'm still in a dillema, and I hope I'm doing the good thing:
There are these cool icons, it's true that they are extremely incredible, but unfortunately they are all stolen. I don't know what to do, really. I'm sure nobody could take the decision on his own. On one hand, we have some extremely cool and useful resources, while on the other hand we have copyright breaking and so, it could take the site into trouble (though it hasn't for more than a year).
At the time I posted I hadn't even submitted my first spell on this site. I found out later through a PM Atlair sent me that he took them from... I don't remember where.
I wanted to use this icon in my map, like many others.
Now I'm in dillema too. Icon is nice, however if it is stolen...
This must be solved, but how?... I think Altair should post a comment where did he take the icon from... However checking 50-100 icons again just to be sure they aren't stolen...
No offence, but I actually think the moderation of this site is too weak, lots of craps stays, so go delete more.
And I actually think all icons from other games should be removed.
And about Atlair: You should delete all his icons, all of them are from guild wars (well, there was a few I could not remember, but they're totally Guild Wars style. And no, I do not play guild wars, but I've seen them at it's site and various screenshots).
Icon is nice, however if it is stolen...
