How come Uther, illidan, etc died, but there's the Altar, which revives SLAIN Heroes it's been bugging me since i got the game(last christmas actually) BTW in my campaign they are alive by the altars

To revive a dead hero, you must know hes dead. So technicaly nobody knew (or cared) about Uther, or knew he was dead. And illidan... Well whos gunna ressurect him anywho?

Illidan is alive and kicking! he's IN WoW you nut!

Because of four simple reasons

1. Illidan didn't die
2. There's a difference between dying in lore and dying in game
3. Altars don't exist in the lore aside from the WC2 Altar of Storms, which is used by Orcish Warlocks to do stuff
4. Cause Metzen said so
