i found this by accident while surfing throught the mpq archive, so i dunno if anyone els actually found this first, but do exactly what i say;
• open a wc mpq extractor • open war3x.mpq • extract the file UI\Glues\MainMenu\MainMenu3d_Beta\MainMenu3d_Beta.mdx • make a new custom campaign • import the mdx file into the campaign • go to the loading screen tab and set the mdx file as the screen • save in campaign folder • run it
i dont want to spoil the surprise, but this will be a shock at first, and u will see why blizz never used this for their main menu i mean geez, wouldnt it just scare ppl away from the game?
@DarkShadow: Make sure you don't have WE running while you extract files, it lags up Warcraft 3 Viewer and sometimes causes it to crash (I think it's because they are both using the MPQ archives).
Ah Mecheon, don't be so hard. He could've posted a new topic about that question, but didn't (and I think it's the better way). He didn't revive this topic for the sake of reviving it, just to ask a question concerning to what the topic was about.
