Do yourself a favour and, if you absolutely must have a P2P program, get something different. I use Limewire, its moderately good, but it doesn't spew forth spyware like Kazaa
At that, I only use it for downloading the entire soundtrack of one of my favourite, yet old, games

Iv been hacked, not just my msn, my whole computer, the hackers warped my IE so anything i do can give me more trojans/viruses/spyware. The trojan he gave me attacked msn registration, which bascily glitches my msn( meaning i cant reply at random times). I got done cuz i dled a prog that dls music, and after 2 days i found out it was a virus and a trojan dler. i had 200 trojans on my comp, some are active. spyware is givin me hel cuz it keeps showin me adds and pop ups. I have recieved spam from the hacker: e.g: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- hi yes I know it is sooooooo good talk with me but you must reserve it too I think you recieved my e mail but you didnt send answer why?? ( I will wait ur answer

He has changed my hostfile.file so that i wil not be able to get to certian websites such as anti-virus sites. He has also hacked into my registry, and also partly damaged it.My computer is now twice as slow and it seems somehow the trojans are spawning. The protection tools i use are:
Ad-ware Se personal Spybot Search and Destroy Microsoft Anti-spyware Advanced System Optimizer AVG free I also use my built in firewall and router
Apart from alot of stress from trackin all the installed trojans, my friend Rokhan has killed and fixed most of my comps problems, although the hacker has embedded many nasty things on it, he also embedded things into my computers memory.
NOTE: If u recieve and Weird or unsual emails or files from me, do not accept unless i am able to prove to you some thing from when ever i have first met u, if the email claims a proof from somethin afew weeks old DO NOT trust it still since he has used a keylogger on me.

1. Stop using Internet Explorer. As in, delete the shortcut so you're not even tempted to use it. And don't complain about other browsers being slow. What would you prefer: A few seconds more to check out an internet site, or your computer to be completely and utterly unusable? 2. Start in Safe Mode. Now, Safe Mode does NOT allow you to do many things. What it is there for is incase of any nasty bugs that are affecting your computer 3. You see that internet cable out of the back of your computer? Yoink it out. NOW. If you're using wireless (Which I might add is unreliable and you should get rid of it) then make the wireless stop 4. Purge the entire computer with the anti-virus programs. Now, assuming you're using Adaware, I have a very nasty technique I tend to use, called the "Mecheon's way of making sure this effer gets his ass purged to hell and beyond", which involves making AdAware find the infected files in your registary and computer, and then you going and deleting them one by one. This absolutely makes SURE your computer is free 5. Run more than one anti-virus, but not at once 6. Chuck the a-holes' email address on one of those spamvertising sites

well iv done like all yur steps bsides 1 and the safe mode thingy. anyway, rokhan knows alot about this stuff and i gave him remote access, he has cleaned alot of the trojans manually and changed the false links and false search bars. i know..i just..like IE. fine, ill use FF but im not gonna b happy since i cant c forum images..
like i have said in some topic before, IE isnt the source of ur problems... i use IE for almost 5 years (or was it 4? dunno), dont have any firewall, no antivirus programs, no freakin adware progs or anything else to protect my pc, and guess what? here i am without ANY problems... btw i never formatted my pc
what i do? -> use IE -> ONLY use limewire to download anything -> use msn and chat progs -> play pc games -> in windows ME, i always CTRL+ALT+DEL all aplications (well, apart from systray and explorer, all progs must be some kind of virus... if i dont take them out, the performance of my pc will go down and if i open IE, lots of pop ups will burst forth...)
what i DO NOT DO? -> use kazaa or any other downloaders (apart from limewire) -> when searching something in IE, NEVER accept to download anything if u dont want to -> open emails that i am not counting for
now u going to ask me, why dont u use kazaa? simple, when i installed it, my pc became slow as **** sometime ago i had a prob with pop ups as well... i was searching for emulators and stuff like that in IE, and i came upon a site that had mass porno pop ups... guess what, i closed 1 window, another 2 apeared, and i was forced to shut down my pc... then when i opened IE, the porno pop ups came again... i dont remember what i exactly did, but the porno pop ups never apeared again
P.S. if u really dont know what to do, create another hard disk, copy all the things u want into that, and then format C: (by default, the one that has windows or ur OS)... i also remember seeing a program that blocks everything from entering ur pc; it says the ip that is trying to enter into it, and asks if u want to allow it or not. Dunno the name, gotta check it out

Although I believe that Internet Explorer is an inferior browser to Firefox there is no reason to switch over if you use IE properly.
In your situation I would reccomend a full reformat and fresh install of windows. It's not hard at all, just make sure you back up all files you want to save on to a CD or DVD, pop in the windows CD, restart your PC and follow the instructions on screen for a reinstall of windows.

dammit! hes attacking firefox! hes trying to change my homepage and wrecking my directory! dam..i know..its just hes flooded my comp with nasties and they seem to respawn or regenerate, so im scared of burning on disc and all. I also have a project due tommorow and need to type it on my comp and transfer to school, im worried ill get the school infected.
Wow, just wow.... You really don't know much about computer security do you. I mean, using Kazaa and then giving internet acess to a program when you have no knowledge of its intent.
Try a program called HijackThis. It can help clean out a lot of stuff that things like adaware can't. But its all manual so be careful about what you delete. Other then that, reformat, get new ip.
