Shiny gems!

The official forum's lacking a bit, as I'd rather spend the time working directly on the mod for now. I want something releaseable within a month.

Here's the first of many 'in development' shots. Throw me some questions. First post will be updated daily.

It's just a field of mineral rocks, being harvested by a Bondsman (placeholder model for now) and the lumber icon has of course been replaced. You can see the unit information highlighted in the shot - this really is just hiding the natural skill the unit has (evasion and critical chances).

Day two!

Resources - mana, minerals (or gems?), character limit (anyone got a decent portrait/stickman icon?)

Damn, looking good. I can't wait to see it.

Two questions though, will the models ever be releaced to the public? And does the Gem Rocks have camaras for portrates?

Looks good, but you should give a little more info about the project itself ("Shiny Gems" is not the best explanation).

Then take a look at the 'Black Book' link in my sig.

I'll do that as soon as I gets the time.

Anyway, why the **** didn't you host it at the hubb?

Instead of "Minerals" or "Gems" I would like "Crystals", but that's just my opinion.

It is. The more more places the merrier.

Last night's updates:

Added a rank symbol that units gain every level.
Got the 'Nodes' working (relace gold mines with mana prduction facilities).

Ok.

Anyway, you should call 'em minerals or crystals, gems sounds a bit silly.

Pardon me, but that's among the dumbest critiques I've ever read.

Whitey, these are very snazzy. I appreciate the depths you've gone to in order to make it a cohesive aspect of the game.

Gemmed rocks work like Trees. Neither can be selected so don't require a portrait.

If u cant select em, then how can u order ur workers to get the gems? (u CAN select trees)

No. You can't. They can be TARGETED. You can't SELECT them.

Nice to see you're still around, Panty!
