Help with Mounting spell

Does anyone have any recommendations on what type of things I could do for a normal mounting spell ( i.e. make an item and make the items model the unmounted mount and then have the item only able to be picked up by a certain type of hero such as a paladin)

give a dummy ability from a non-targettable spell(e.g. Roar). when the unit uses the dummy, check if there is an unmounted unit around it, if there is, replace the unit with a mounted one. if not, then do nothing.

Well....Sounds like a good idea but, how could i do that? Does it involve triggering? and what's a dummy? Could you explain these things?
#4
yes, of course it involves triggering. and for the dummy part, check the stickies and FAQs.

Well, I read the faqs on triggering earlier and i don't get what kind of trigger i could use for it?

Sorry i hit submit and then i clicked stop because i noticed it didn't make sense....I'm making a dummy unit now and I don't have locust ability and, I don't have the option to turn off the minimap display....
