Look the source code of this site. If you fully understand it, you're really a genius. Learning html (or others) surely takes some time.

As a beginner, use a website creation program.
Or even easier, go to a free webs site.

I don't recommend you going on to html and complicated stuff yet, as yor way behind.

find a web development program like dreamweaver, play around with it making little stuff at first, like image gallery's and stuff, you can switch views with those progs which allows you to see what you do change the html. that's how I learned then once you know html start with cgi, CSS, java, and php. forms are always good to know too, and don't be afraid to rip-code. (go to a site you like and "view source") learn how they did it and then so forth.

Microsoft Frontpage is good
Serif Webplus is simple to use

No! Do not use any HTML editors! Go to www.htmlgoodies.com and look at the HTML Primers. I learnt from there, and it's very easy.

HTML is very simple to learn. Even a 4 year old could understand it. I recommend trying it out, it only takes a half hour a day.

My I.T teacher said its very difficult. He said it may take you several years to learn it. He also you'll need to read up to 5 HTML tutorials...

 Perhaps he should take some lessons. It's not THAT difficult. Writing with TeX is more difficult (TeX -> PDF/DVI)
