What is an Interactive 3D renderer and where can I get one?

The reason I'm asking this is, I just got Gmax and when ever it's just about to start it has a fatal error pop-up and it says:
Interactive 3D Renderer initialization failed.
Please check your device settings by using the -H command line option.

Weird huh? Does anyone know what it means?

I figured it out.... If anyone else has this problem, PM me and I'll tell you what to do : )
