No, 3ds Studio Max is very expensive, such a professiona modelling program used by many companies and games shouldn't be cheaper.

do you at least know where i could find an earlier version like 2.5 or something instead of 6?

I think I saw 4.0/5.0 the other day but other than that, the older versions are just not good enough for your needs... Remember its a trial, and then buy.

how big is the file?

3ds max is about 584 MB paintshop pro about 453 and photoshop 234 MB... thats too big for an email.. but i sent 3ds max to a friend over icq... it took over 2 weeks^^

Actually I saw discounts of 3ds Studio Max saying 20% cheaper.

This is not appropriate, but I found tons of cracks and warez on the net when I searched for 3ds Studio Max. Worst all of, Kazaa or Shareaza had tons of cracks for 3ds Studio Max 6.
