favorite skin gone with the wc3c server? no need to cry.

Since wc3c is down, many skins(about 1/2) will be unavailable for download. dont fret though; all you need is photosop or Paint shop pro, and wc3viewer. right click find the source of the UV, open the image, right click save, open in photoshop, add the alpha modifications, then save. then convert the TGA into a blp in wc3viewer. this requires minimal knowledge of the paint program. if anyone has questions or needs help, then just post here.

That was the sound of that going over the head of the majority of the people here. Really, whats easy for us may not be as simple for others.

i would say right click find the source, open the image, and right click save... so much simpler with less cropping and cutting.

I think the issue came up with in doing that it wont save the alpha-channel. It will still take all the work mentioned to make the skins usable again.

Oh, ooh, may io ask 1 stupid question? how come that model viewer can convert sizes bigger than icons? it says that it can't.
