I have been uploading models here for a long tiem I know. But I got tired of this place. It is Zul'Aman! it is full of trolls every where!
Very brash thing to say considering WC3c has Whitehorn, Tiki and Wormskull. You know things are bad when the more prominant trolls this site has seen are moderators/admin or otherwise well-established members over there.
I dont nearly see the troll problem here then what I see at WC3c. Sorry. But if you want to leave this site for wc3campaings, then by all means leave. Just dont make a stink about it. -VGsatomi

Well we try to ban wormskull but he always comes back, wc3search would be having the same problem if wormskull was interested in posting in wc3sear.ch

Let's go clear, wc3sear.ch is far from dying anyways, in the top I see 10,5,1,2,3 those numbers should mean something.
I don't really care if wc3sear.ch dies or not. Yes, It was my idea to make wc3c have a resource section, but it was not really to kill wc3sear.ch it was to keep wc3c alive. I didn't want wc3c to just revive I wanted it to stay alive, and SERIOUSLY replacing the downloads section with a link to wc3sear.ch KILLED wc3campaigns.
So please I will ask you guys to stop making threads about these things, just keep working on your resources, thanks.
------- Anyways VG accept that you got a problem here, namely the site is slow like hell. You still don't get hosting for a lot of stuff. And for god's sake why is that I am still a mod here?

Thats perfectly fine, and I respect that. But when your staff visits our site, most of the time they only birate our site and its members, and that becomes my problem. I have an account at wc3campaigns, too. But do you see me going over there to talk ****?
Btw this site needs a savior and he is called Darky, namelly the Darky the site had in 2004.

I have a site over at wc3c as well, and i do my best to talk in a good way Mc ! you should know this because i have commented on your resources there, I agree with VG i dont go there and talk sh*t but i one threak that vg closed Tim. was "trying" to tell us that we should stop talking about something when he has no authority over us here at wc3sear.ch.
It would be good if Darky got of WoW and fixed the site that he pays for god if i have to send him a bloody email then i will so meh.

Hmm...maybe you could bride him more and lots of WOW gold... but i dont know, i hear that it wasnt WOW but actually School, but everytiem i talk to him on aim which was ages ago he was on WOW. Argh..and this dark template makes me feel..like this place is empty..

this site does seem like its dieing i recon its cause people dont talk in the forums enough... appart from one every topic make people dont even bother to reply yet alone read it
and another reason cause those selfish people who only dl and not even make an aka or talk i recon you should have this like wc3c with the thing how you have to have an aka to be able to dl things... or can only darky do that? oh btw unless you actualy have seen him on WoW i dont think he still plays that cause im sure by now his reached lvl60 and his probly very busy

This site isn't dying at all. Every time Im online (4-6 hours per day) I see at least 60 people and 16 Registered online. and:
After 2 years, the popularity of wc3sear.ch is still unbroken. We have thousands of visitors day by day (up to 10k a day) and our community downloads 1 Terrabyte tools,maps,models e.t.c from the Site Month by Month.
SERIOUSLY replacing the downloads section with a link to wc3sear.ch KILLED wc3campaigns.
I'm still trying to understand how the death of WC3campaigns was our fault. Draco takes the site down for maintenance...it never comes back up...later turns out his server/ISP decided not to carry/support the site anymore...how is that OUR fault?
Then, I get this little automated massage.
Some users have suggested the staff to send this automated message so more people knows.
wc3campaigns.com is back to activity, under a new administration - Tim, Whitehorn and Vexorian are the new heads of this project to recover the old wc3campaigns.com - before making wc3sear.ch our downloads section.
We are back with resources (models, icons, skins and spell maps) tutorials and an art gallery.

I didn't want to continue this discussion I think I went over rude last post, but anyways VG since you asked I will explain myself.

You seem to think that wc3c died on december 12th. But the truth is that date was the end of its dying process which started when wc3c decided to replace its downloads with a link to wc3sear.ch
Wc3campaigns had a nice downloads section in 2004, I remember when I was making the caster system and my spells for the first time, it also had models by cookie and other fellows. We had Cubasis as developer's corner director, Whitehorn as artists corner's and `Dorelian as content director. And things seemed to be going nicelly in fact. That's what I mean with "wc3c before making wc3sear.ch our downloads section" it is not really wc3sear.ch who ruined wc3c but it was the cause, let me explain.
Darky went to ask stonedstoopid to help hosting wc3sear.ch stoned saw the scripts of this site and how they extracted information and decided to make wc3sear.ch wc3campaigns' downloads section. Removing the old downloads section we had.
As far as I could understand the sites were supposed to be merging, instead of whatever happened.
Well the thing is that this decision splitted wc3c into 2 groups.
Group A: Administrators, majority of moderators (me too) and some users that supported the idea.
Group B: Some respected members, some members of the mods. A lot of users and Maverick2000 that hated the idea. (they were mostly artists)
Group B's concept was that the site (wc3c) has to have its own downloads section and they simply started a war against the whole idea.
Group A - Me included - was not able to see the future and became much more strict and closed the circle against "those who wanted to destroy wc3c".
Bad timing- Whitehorn was planning to release thehubb a long time ago but for some reason he released it just in those not so calmed times.
Blasphemy! Darky requests the rest of the administration to fire whitehorn from his director position and start doing funny things like censoring the word 'thehubb'.
Ouch As planned the artists massively moved to thehubb and whitehorn didn't want to know more about wc3c anymore.
Wc3c didn't have much things remaining, I was there but I was in fact more focused on wc3sear.ch I also was just a moderator. We had triggers forums and people but the site was dead-hurt. We also had a link to wc3sear.ch
I am now sure that was the beginning of wc3campaigns' dead. Wc3campaigns didn't had much to offer and became just an intermediary between the user and wc3sear.ch with time all the users that wc3c attracted just went to wc3sear.ch. And wc3c wasn't that fun anymore.
Eventually Draco was the guy with the highest power and well Cubasis was gone - I became administrator there.
I tried 1000 ways to make it work again, but simple enough the art related forums never were the same.
I tried to make it the only place where you can find my spells (remember?) I used the rating thing as an excuse (was a rather good excuse, after 6 months of work in InvX I didn't like to get 1/5 from a totally anonimous user).
What I noted there was that wc3sear.ch became completelly hostile towards wc3campaigns - no one would blame them - but they seemed to not consider that wc3c was in fact hosting them and giving them such a free link but for them wc3c was a site full of noobs and whatever reply I got after my decition to move the spells.
Well the exclusivity wc3campaigns had over my spells didn't work at all.
Eventually Draco upgraded vB , and screwed something or the upgrade was bugged (I think it was bugged because I got a similar problem the other day)
For some reason Draco though that making a whole new forum software was better than trying to repair vB. Or he didn't care about wc3c because of the lack of users and decided he could use it as a php experimenting area (also see: Stockmarket)
Well VE was the killing bow but wc3c was very weak already.
For the record what killed wc3c was the lack of users, when Stoned's hosting was over neither him or Draco thought it was a great idea to keep wc3c alive - there weren't much users to allow that.

Yep I don't blame wc3sear.ch for the dead of wc3c but I blame the whole idea of making a site that does not offer anything to users and just acts as a link.
