How exactly does a person make a model? Is it a unit made from scratch? I just CAN'T figure it out

If you can actually build a quality model from scratch, then you should be looking to apply to game companies or something. Most of the stuff here is mainly editing of current existing Blizzard models. You need discreet 3D max 5.0 or lower and the WC3 plugins tools for it. You can get the plugins on this site.-VGsatomi

Remember to read tutorials of the modelling program, play around with the tools so you can get to used to them, ask questions and learn from wc3campaigns modelling forums and even start to model.#4
