Skin recoloring

Can anyone tell me what tools I'd need to take a skin from the game and recolor it? And does it automatically convert all shades of one color to the equivalent shades of another color or do I have to do it manually? I tried looking in the tools section but there were no descriptions of what the tools did.

if u just recolour dont sub them.
psp,ps,gimp can recolour, there should be an option in the brush tool called colour, and change that to the desired colour and paint over it.

How do I get this to this Image Extractor to get the skins out in the first place? Is it in World Editer?

look in tools, wc3 viewer can also extract the blp files(skins)
read stickies.

Okay I've got most of the ones I need out but I'm having problems finding the Orc Wyvern Rider. Is it stored differently then the others?

Found it! Thanks! Now what's the best tool to recolor these with? Is there anyway to automate it so it will change one color to another (such as all green to all red)?
