Freehand is to skin manually using the tools and recolouring. So its like basically drawing in real life with a pencil - thats freehand.

Try checking wc3c for some tut's on skinning.

Using the tools in your paint program such as Burn, dodge, push etc are a must use for skinning.

Actually not, Using only Paintbrush will get you better results in the end
Burn and dodge is just a quicker and (quality wise) worse way than the above mentioned.

"Ultimate Skin Ever" lol way too many colors and too much use of filters. It needs work keep trying.

Not to be mean-spirited or rancorous, and without hyperbole, this is the greatest misuse of the word ultimate I can recall seeing.

the one that is a truly good skinning would never call himself the best skinner, has to do with mature behaviour and such, things that seem to lack you, orcfan32.

@alfredx_sotn: I wouldnt say youre a bad skinner, you got some nice ones on that site, not to forget those that are used in rotd

I cant say that i really like that skin at all, but you like final fantasy tactics advenced as well as mee so ill let you off there.

LOL, guys, such a contest was done some weeks/days ago. And yes, it's possible to judge them fairly, the mods/admins will do that.
