HELP!! PLEASE!!

When I'm making my map, and I wanna place a grunt, it shows up as a shadow, and when you play the game it shows up as a shadow! It's like it's size 1, but does't leave any footprints, and you can't target it either. I NEED HELP :(

Is it just units not appearing? Is the "units" part under the view tab checked? If it is, no units will show up in the editor. Make sure that is not checked off. If it's a costom model you are putting in there, the file path to the skin might be wrong.

NO!

No! It is just one grunt unit, and I have nothing imported! All I get is a shadow, and I REALLY need grunts in my map...
#4
Did you temper with your war3.mpq?
#5

as in

What o you ean by "Temper" all I do is extract units and save them for skinning.. I've only skinned one grunt, I saved it then I wanted to update it on this site. So I deleted my original SKINNED unit and put the updated version in c:\Warcraft III\Images\Skins\Grunt X-Factor\Grunt X-Factor.blp

I had a simular problem with the Grunt... except my problem was that Grunts crashed the World Editor. Well, check if you have any units in your WC3 folder called "Grunt"

Remember if you cant figure it out you can always reinstall.
#8
and you can select it by dragging a box around it right?
#9

nope!

I cant select them, it REALLY ANNOYING NOW!

By the sound of it, you have an unalphed Grunt skin lying somewhere around which is preventing it from working

Search you ENTIRE WC3 folder for anything called "Grunt". Do note that spaces don't work in skins to my knowledge

Rename all of those grunt things to something like "pie"

Problem solved

Wait would an alphed grunt be unselectable?

Yu_YevonWait would an alphed grunt be unselectable?

no

it would be unselectable when you change the path to none.mdx or sth like that
