So then what exactly can blizzard do...
I mean if some of the richest and most powerful companies in the world cant shutdown mininova.org I cant see blizzard having a chance in hell at stopping some unofficial non profitable mod?
- If someone made a mod in war3 called Starcraft 2, would that annoy blizzard do you think? As it may in some way hinder them if they ever wanted to make their own starcraft 2. I dont mean a simple your average crappy map, I mean a real a big pro map with everything and a website.
It happens. Its happened planty of times in the past. Not only with blizz, but with many other companies. If blizz is so contempt to not even read fanfictions or accept appilications for novel authors and so forth in fear of someone corrupting their precious series, it would be no large step for them to prevent people from making a superior starctaft game, even for the sake of making sure Blizz has room to make one of their own in the future (i.e. who would pay money for a blizz-released 3D Starctaft RTS game when superior qulaity fan works have already been released for free?). Because It could financially hurt them in the long run. Think about it. -VGsatomi
